That's where we're jumping in first.
And three, two, one, and where we put me up here. Hold on a second. There we go.
Adam Sosnick (0:11)
Hey, what's going on, guys?
Michael Sartain (0:12)
We were going to start with a video, but we're just right here.
Ryan (0:15)
Our cameras on us guys.
Rollo Tomassi (0:16)
So this is we give them a little bit of a preamble.
Michael Sartain (0:19)
OK, guys. Well, obviously, everybody's been talking about the Lindsey Clancy case. Everybody's been talking about the 49ers player who was fake. Everybody's been talking about what's the other one? Dean Winters being the male feminist who just got accused of something. So we're just going to hop right into this first one, and then we're going to ask everybody for their opinion. Go ahead.
Rollo Tomassi (0:33)
All right, fire us up.
Michael Noles (0:36)
A woman is going viral for scolding, disciplining, dealing with her kid in light of the Lindsey Clancy case. Take a look. I accidentally caught my daughter made a mistake when I was already overstimulated. She spilled her coffee. The daughter spilled the coffee. The daughter burst into appears apologizing. I would have been anticipating a blow up to be yelled at and berated.
But she remains calm.
Growling in her face. She watches me work to regulate and watches for instruction.
She knows that she has nothing to fear and that no matter how frustrated I am, I will always do blah, blah, blah. She waits for instruction. Once I finish cleaning up, we reconnect. I'm far from perfect, but I'm doing much better than I was taught. My parents are so bad, but I'm so good. Okay. Okay.
So do you notice the first thing wrong with this?
On its face, this is a good video, because in the wake of the Lindsay Clancy trial, this mother did not murder her kid. So she's really good. That's the whole thesis of the video is I'm a really good mom. My kids spilled my coffee and I didn't murder her. So I'm a really good mom. And not only did I not murder her, I didn't yell at her. I didn't hit her. I didn't, I regulated myself. I and my daughter learned this and she's learning much better than I did because I had terrible parents and I hate you dad. Hate you dad, which is what all of liberalism boils down to. And look at what a good mom I am. Because I didn't kill my kid. Do you see the first thing wrong with this? The first thing wrong is that she's filming her kid. Why is the camera on? Why is the camera watching this scene? Did she just set her kid up to make a mistake so that she could do a performance for social media of how she didn't hit her kid or something? Was it all a setup? Let's say it wasn't all a setup. Let's say this woman is just a millennial white lady, and she just films herself all the time. A lot of red flags there, but let's say, and they've happened to catch the daughter committing this heinous crime of spilling the coffee.
Why is she filming her kid? I'd like to have an intervention with all of the women of all the different races and all the different ages, but definitely among the millennials where this seems to be a big problem.
Stop filming your kids. Stop it. Stop filming your kids. Stop taking pictures of your kids and then posting them to social media. It is, I would say, wrong statistically 100% of the time to post photos of your kids to social media, period. We'll get to what she did in a second. Posting pictures to a public forum of your little kids is wrong. Sorry to be so judgy today. I don't know. Maybe I woke up on the wrong side of the bed.
Lauren Rojas (3:46)
It's because there's predators.
Michael Sartain (3:47)
All right, guys, what do you think? First off, do you agree about this whole thing about because we just had this conversation in the car on the way over here. What do you guys think about this?
Lauren Rojas (3:54)
I don't even post relationships on line if I have one, because first off, there's fear of someone that could retaliate. And then also for on line, there's predators out there. So that's the first thing that I would think for on line.
Michael Sartain (4:08)
I think that's it. What else?
SPEAKER_10 (4:10)
I was going to say, I wouldn't have thought all of those things just by watching that one video. But at the same time, I feel like there wasn't any actual parenting that happened. And yeah, I do think a lot of things are super-performed.
