**Paris Hilton** (1:00)
Hey, babes, it's Paris Hilton. So I was checking my points balance in the Hilton Honors app the other day. And yeah, I've got about a billion, which feels excessive, even for me. Just kidding, you can never have too many Hilton Honors points. And I want to do something iconic this summer. So I'm giving away all my Paris Points. Just find somewhere you've always wanted to stay, then go to my socials or Hilton's and tell me about it. Just make sure you're a Hilton Honors member, and I might be sending you Paris Points. Because when you want points that make your summer even hotter, it matters where you stay.
**Brian Drake** (1:30)
All across the Fantasy Universe, welcome in to the Fantasy Points Podcast. Brian Drake joined alongside the guru, John Hansen. And John, very special show today as we welcome back one of our great friends of the show, Adam Schefter. And he's always out there breaking so many news articles on contracts for players in the NFL and NBA. And we're happy to say here, he's got a new contract with ESPN. And guess what he did? The first thing he did, John, he's coming to talk to you and I on the Fantasy Points Podcast. How are you doing, brother?
**John Hansen** (2:11)
I'm doing well, you gotta love it. And Adam is so busy, and as I've stated a million times, I am very hesitant to send him texts, especially during the season. I don't wanna bother him. I know he's got a family, I know he's got a life. So this has become a little bit of a tradition. I kinda just release all my questions here, heading into training camps. So as we gear up for Mr. Schefter, let's welcome him right now. Adam, how are you, sir? Thanks for your time. Are you ready for the season?
**Adam Schefter** (2:41)
Well, whether I'm ready or not, John, it's starting, so I have no choice but to be ready.
**John Hansen** (2:46)
All right. Well, I came up with a bunch of questions, and I know you don't like to delve into all your insider notebooks and all that. You like to talk fantasy with us, and that's what we'll do. But of course, most of the questions are veiled insider questions, and we just try and get the answers through how you would react to fantasy. So let me start with one that I've mentioned here on our podcast a couple of times, and I even said, I even dropped your name. I'm like, I'm going to ask my guy Adam Schefter about George Pickens. So let's start there. We all know, hasn't signed a long-term contract. He's playing under the franchise tag. So should I be worried about George being a little upset? I've interviewed George.
He's a very combustible guy. I mean, when he harnesses it for positive, he can be unbelievable. But I do worry about George being a little ticked off. So what's the latest in your mind on George Pickens?
**Adam Schefter** (3:46)
Well, here's what I would be on that, John. He cannot sign a contract extension this year. He cannot. So July 15th deadline came and went. He is officially on the last year, or that one-year French $27.3 million deal. So if he gets traded before the deadline, he can't sign an extension. Dallas loved what he did this year, can't sign him to an extension till after the year. He's on the one-year deal. So what I would say to you is this, I was on George Pickens last year. I took him last year. I had him on one of my fancy teams, my two leagues.
He is an incredible talent. That has never been in question. He is as talented as any wide receiver in the National Football League.
