Bid down!

Craig Carton (0:02)

Nice. Carton Show, Big Mac.

Chris McMonigle (0:06)

Oh.

Craig Carton (0:09)

I've been somewhat interested in the silly little online feud between Aaron Rodgers and Danica Patrick. You know, Danica Patrick and the other gal he dated, the uh, Woodley.

Chris McMonigle (0:20)

I always say her first name wrong all the time. Shanayne or Shana or something.

Craig Carton (0:26)

Something like that, anyway.

Chris McMonigle (0:27)

Something like that.

Craig Carton (0:27)

She was the gal that said that being in a relationship with Aaron Rodgers was like emotional warfare.

Chris McMonigle (0:34)

Correct.

Craig Carton (0:34)

Something along those lines.

Chris McMonigle (0:35)

Something like that.

Craig Carton (0:36)

And that she like lost every sense of herself and he like was abusive emotionally.

Chris McMonigle (0:41)

Yes.

Craig Carton (0:41)

Not physically.

Chris McMonigle (0:42)

Correct.

Craig Carton (0:42)

Not that it's any better, obviously, but it's not good. And again, that kind of went unchecked because he didn't ever, he never addressed it.

Chris McMonigle (0:49)

Right.

Craig Carton (0:49)

Danica Patrick, who he dated prior to being engaged, I think, to Woodley. Yeah. Who's kind of like your gal that came out of obscurity as opposed to Danica Patrick, who's well known, especially in the sports world.

Chris McMonigle (1:00)

She's been in some fairly big movies and stuff.

Chris McMonigle (1:02)

Oh, she's an actress? Yeah.

Craig Carton (1:03)

I didn't even know that.

Chris McMonigle (1:04)

Okay.

Craig Carton (1:04)

I got it. So maybe she wasn't obscured.

Chris McMonigle (1:07)

I can't think of the name of the movie, but there was like three or four of them that were successful and she was like the lead in it. And then she did that Big Little Lies with Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon.

Chris McMonigle (1:16)

Didn't see it, but okay.

Craig Carton (1:17)

I think I've heard of it.

Chris McMonigle (1:17)

Yeah. So she's like a relatively somewhat known actress. I wouldn't say huge, but.

Chris McMonigle (1:22)

Okay.

Craig Carton (1:22)

In any event, the fight with Danica Patrick, I'm in for.

Because I like, I feel like I have some stock in knowing who Danica Patrick is. And you know, she's the NASCAR driver. I don't know if she ever won any races, but whatever. And she's kind of cute. It's kind of a cool story. Like a very pretty girl can like drive 240, that kind of thing. But have you been paying attention to any of the kind of barbs that are being thrown back and forth here? I'm in for all of it.

Chris McMonigle (1:49)

I was unaware. I knew what Woodley had said about Aaron Rodgers.

And I knew that he dated Danica Patrick. I had not seen Danica Patrick say anything about Rodgers. So I don't, but I saw it today what he said about her.

Craig Carton (2:01)

Yeah.

Chris McMonigle (2:01)

But I did not know that she had made claims about him.

Craig Carton (2:05)

Do we have actually the audio of what he said? So I'll just give you a little taste of it. This is Aaron Rodgers speaking, without saying her name, by the way, he references her. So we all know he's talking about her. But this is Aaron Rodgers.

I didn't realize that was funny. And that's the problem with a lot of interviewers now, they kiss the ass of the person they're interviewing. And then they have the things that aren't that funny.

Look, maybe he's telling the truth and he's right. But you know the first thing I thought of? That's what abusive people say. They always blame the other person. Now, I'm not saying that's the case here, but the opening five or seven seconds of that made me feel like I should just take his word for it. It's that he said, she said here. Of course, there's always two sides. Now, I will say this. If what he said is accurate about the house thing, you didn't get stuck with her in a house during COVID outside of wanting to be stuck in a house with her during COVID. She's a wealthy woman, could have gone anywhere, probably has her own abode as well. You're a wealthy guy. Yeah. You could have gone anywhere. Of course. Nobody said, hey, even while you're lying about being vaccinated, you have to live with a girlfriend that you no longer like.

Chris McMonigle (3:14)

I came to this station every day in the middle of COVID. He could have easily gone out of the house and stayed somewhere else.

Craig Carton (3:19)

Right? Of course. They also both probably have multiple homes. Of course. Or they could afford a suite and a hotel, right? Something.
