Ba-da-ba-da-ba-da-ba-da-bam!
This might be my last year at the fan, because I'm going to buy one of those Elon Musk Tesla cyber taxis and just make passive income while I sleep. Think about doing that, once they get approved for New York City. Yeah.
Chris McMonigle (0:19)
So you're going to buy...
Craig Carton (0:22)
It's 30 grand.
Chris McMonigle (0:23)
30 grand for a Tesla that drives itself.
Craig Carton (0:26)
It's a fully autonomous vehicle.
That's going to be like Uber and Lyft on the streets, but no people driving it. There's not even a steering wheel. Right. Yeah. It's electric, obviously.
Chris McMonigle (0:36)
Boogie, boogie, boogie.
Craig Carton (0:37)
Yeah. And that's it. So he's encouraging people like to pitch together, start a company.
And he's like, if you have 30 of them on the streets of New York City, you make a million dollars.
Chris McMonigle (0:48)
That's an interesting idea. Literally just have a car driving around, dropping off, picking up people.
Craig Carton (0:53)
Yeah.
Chris McMonigle (0:54)
And making you money. That's how time is over.
While you're doing whatever you're doing. You could be doing it right now. Exactly right. While you're hosting the show, your car is dropping off people.
Craig Carton (1:02)
Fully automated on the app.
Chris McMonigle (1:03)
That's awesome.
Craig Carton (1:04)
So people go to the app to book a ride, like you're doing an Uber or Lyft.
Chris McMonigle (1:06)
That's a crazy idea.
Craig Carton (1:07)
Yeah. And like you charge it once every 12 hours.
Chris McMonigle (1:11)
Right.
Craig Carton (1:11)
Does it by itself.
Chris McMonigle (1:12)
That's it. That's amazing. Great.
Craig Carton (1:14)
Yeah. You want in on that or no?
Chris McMonigle (1:17)
I'd consider it.
Craig Carton (1:18)
It's 30 grand per car.
Figure between all of us, we could probably get two or three cars. That way you have a car on the road 24-7.
Chris McMonigle (1:25)
Post-season station?
Craig Carton (1:27)
No, like me, you, Pete and Anthony. Yeah. That's 60 grand total between the four of us.
And we'll finance it. So just a monthly payment. Right, right. A couple thousand bucks a month, whatever it is, or less than that probably, right?
Chris McMonigle (1:39)
There you go. Theoretically, we're making money while we're doing it.
Craig Carton (1:42)
Not theoretically, we're making money 24-7, nonstop.
Chris McMonigle (1:46)
You'd have to get two.
Craig Carton (1:47)
One of our cars is on the road going. So you buy like four of them.
Chris McMonigle (1:51)
Yeah, but how much money are you making at, I guess, three o'clock in the morning? There's still people looking for it.
Craig Carton (1:56)
Probably make like 50 grand in year one. That's 12.5 each.
Chris McMonigle (1:59)
Yeah.
Craig Carton (2:00)
Extra money. Now you go on another Disney cruise.
SPEAKER_3 (2:03)
How much for insurance, though, on these things? You know, it doesn't have a driver.
Craig Carton (2:07)
It's always that one guy.
Chris McMonigle (2:08)
I just was curious. It's not a bad question.
SPEAKER_3 (2:11)
I don't know.
Craig Carton (2:12)
It's car insurance, whatever it is.
SPEAKER_3 (2:14)
But there's no driver.
Craig Carton (2:15)
Yeah, we still need insurance on the car.
SPEAKER_3 (2:17)
No, I know that.
Craig Carton (2:18)
A couple hundred bucks, nothing. Easy peasy.
Chris McMonigle (2:21)
Why do you think it takes more in car insurance with no driver?
SPEAKER_3 (2:24)
There's no driver.
It's a driverless car. I would think that maybe there's a possibility for more accidents because there's no one behind the wheel. Well, you shoot Tesla.
Craig Carton (2:32)
I didn't cause the accident.
Chris McMonigle (2:33)
He did.
SPEAKER_3 (2:35)
Okay, I'm in.
Chris McMonigle (2:35)
And you understand when you're getting in a driverless car.
Craig Carton (2:38)
I'm just saying, like the four of us said, we each go in for a couple hundred bucks a month.
Chris McMonigle (2:42)
I'm in.
Craig Carton (2:42)
Right? And we buy four of them.
What's the downside? Worst case, we each go home with an autonomous car.
Chris McMonigle (2:51)
Great.
Craig Carton (2:53)
Honey, guess what I bought?
Chris McMonigle (2:54)
Yeah.
Craig Carton (2:55)
I keep telling you not to buy stupid stuff.
Chris McMonigle (2:59)
That's an idea, man.
Craig Carton (3:00)
Yeah.
Chris McMonigle (3:01)
Just having an Uber driving around for you while you're doing everything else.
Craig Carton (3:04)
No driver, no union, and I love unions.
Chris McMonigle (3:08)
Yeah.
Craig Carton (3:08)
No insurance on the driver, no vacations, no I'm sick. No, I don't know why, none of it. Fully autonomous.
Chris McMonigle (3:14)
Just constantly driving around.
