Having uncontrolled eosinophilic esophagitis or EOE can mean you're stuck in many ways, like cutting your food into tiny pieces, or stuck chewing food for a long time. Dupixant dupellumab, a prescription medicine for patients one year and older weighing at least 33 pounds can help with that. It's a breakthrough treatment that can reduce inflammation in the esophagus and improve swallowing.

How about this? Dupixant is not a steroid. It proactively treats EOE so you can get ahead of it.

Severe allergic reactions, including skin reactions, can occur. Get help right away if you have trouble breathing or wheezing or swelling of your face, mouth, tongue, or throat. Tell your doctor of new or worsening joint aches and pain or a parasitic infection or asthma. Don't change or stop other treatments without talking to your doctor.

College football is back, so Hilton called on me, the superstition concierge, to make your fan rituals a reality. Need a room to match your lucky number? We got you. Want to make sure our team doesn't wash your lucky jersey? Oh, that smells lucky.

Hilton's unmatched hospitality can keep up with any superstition. Even a marching band wake up call at 555 in 55 seconds. Hit it! When you need a team that will do whatever it takes on game day, it matters where you stay. Hilton, for this day.

Welcome back to the SENWA studio out here at Optus Stadium. Monday morning, 17 degrees outside, building to a top of 24 degrees on a sunny day in our fair city.

WA fought out a nail-biting Sheffield Shield clash with the Queensland Bulls at the Wacka yesterday. The hero of the day was their new captain Aaron Hardie, who scored an unbeaten 80 to get them to the line by two wickets. And Aaron joins us on the show this morning. Aaron, welcome. Hi, Duff.

Aaron Hardie (2:01)

How are you?

Mark Duffield (2:02)

I'm good, mate. Congratulations. A, a great win and a fantastic captain's knock by yourself. How did it feel?

Aaron Hardie (2:11)

Yes, thank you. No, it was a great game. I had to say the hero, but definitely that title can go to Sam Fanning.

That was pretty amazing what he was able to do out there.

Mark Duffield (2:22)

So you put on 40 with Sam right at the finish. He, of course, tore a hamstring in the field the previous day.

Describe his running between the wickets during that 40 run partnership, Aaron.

Aaron Hardie (2:36)

I definitely wasn't running.

I mean, I didn't really know the extent of, I knew he had a bad hamstring. I didn't know what he would be able to do. And I think they were going to do like a little pat him up and give a little fitness test while he was waiting to bat. But unfortunately, we lost two wickets in the first over, so he didn't even get time to do that. So I kind of asked him when he came out, mate, what can you do? And he goes, I honestly don't know. So we're kind of playing it live. And, yeah, somehow we got the job done.

Mark Duffield (3:08)

So was it one or four? That was basically how you ran between the wickets?

Aaron Hardie (3:13)

Yeah, pretty much.

And then, I mean, the ironic thing is we ended up winning by hitting a two. So, no, it was just amazing to be out there with him. He thought early on he could run twos, and it came pretty apparent pretty quickly that he certainly wouldn't be able to do that. So, no, I mean, I haven't spoken to him this morning yet, but I'm sure he's probably woken up a bit sore, whether it's in the hamstring or in the adductors with the way that he ends up running between the wickets.

Mark Duffield (3:40)

So having to sort of like compensate, if you like, for the injury that he had. Is there any sort of early prognosis on how serious the hammy tear might be?

Aaron Hardie (3:50)

No, I think he'll get a scan today, but yeah, you know, I don't think it's looking good. Certainly I won't be able to play the next couple of games and, you know, hopefully avoid any kind of, you know, surgery or anything along the lines like that.

Mark Duffield (4:03)

Okay, now you obviously are reasonably new to the captaincy gig. Did being the captain in a situation like that, tight game and needed someone to stand up and play along in it, did that affect the way you play? Did you play differently to the way you would have approached that in the past?
