A Woman, A Child, A Dragon, & A Galactic Battle - Part 2

He takes this woman and he provides her a place in the wilderness, and he protects her and he feeds her. Do you see how much God cares?

Today on InGrace, we're going to continue to talk about the fall of Satan and Satan's war against Israel and against the Messiah. And we are in Revelation chapter 12 We're talking about this fall of the devil, the fall of the demons, and we're going to also be cross-referencing to Isaiah 14 And we're seeing how this dragon is trying to devour the male child of this woman. We identified the woman yesterday as Israel, and I believe that's very clear in Scripture. That's who that is. The dragon, of course, is the devil, is Satan. And this male child is the Messiah, is none other than Yeshua, Jesus. And this war continues on into the future because the devil still has some power, but God will lock him up one day, and that'll be a great day. So I hope that you will be paying attention today. The devil can read. The devil doesn't know the future, but the devil knows what God has predicted. And by the way, the devil believes the Bible except for the very end. He believes everything except the very end. And there he was ready to kill that baby as soon as it was born. And we see that with her, don't we? And she brought forth a man child. So you're gonna have a 50-50 chance that it's a girl or a boy, right? And sure enough, it was a boy, as the Bible predicted, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her child was caught up unto God and to his throne. So we have here the birth of Jesus. Now this doesn't speak to his life, death and resurrection, but it goes right to his ascension. So it's the beginning at his birth, and it goes to him going to heaven. Now of course, that happened in the past, right? So that's why I said Revelation isn't always strictly linear or chronological. And here we see some things that have happened in history. The fall of Satan probably happened near creation or earlier, we don't know exactly where, but certainly he had fallen by the time that Eve was tempted in the garden. So that happened early, and then we have here the promise of Jesus, and he's born, and the devil tries to kill Jesus, and God protects him.

Do you know that the son was delivered?

And you know, there were many times that Satan tried to destroy. Even before Jesus was born, if Satan could annihilate the Jewish people, there would be no Messiah, right? Because God predicted the Messiah to come through the Jews. So if people could annihilate the Jewish people before the Messiah was born, there would be no Messiah when to be born. So even before Jesus was born, that old dragon was trying to consume that child. Think of Haman in Persia, that wicked Haman that wanted all the Jews to be killed. And that brave Queen Esther stood up at risk of her life. And God blessed that and saved the Jewish people. Oh, what a wonderful woman Esther is. And wouldn't it be fun in heaven to go and meet some of these people? Amazing. And then Satan tries to destroy this child there in Bethlehem and he escapes. Satan tries to kill Jesus at the pinnacle, the hillside, the cliff in Nazareth. It wasn't his time. It wasn't his place.
