My very good friend, Bryony Deery is back. Bryony is an author, the founder of Pilates by Bryony, a mother and an entrepreneur. She does it all. Bryony, welcome back to The Bossticks. I find the older that I get and the more kids that I have, if someone's mad at me for not being responsive, I don't know that I'm the friend for them.
Bryony Deery (0:35)
No, I agree. I mean, I've had one baby and I already feel like this. I don't know how you feel after three. It blows my mind that people have more than one child. I'm like, wow.
Every time I speak to one of my friends who has more than one child, I'm like, tell me everything because it's a wild ride.
Lauryn Bosstick (0:55)
It's so funny because when you text me that, I was you.
I was texting all my friends with three children being like, I don't know how you did this. And when you text me that, I was like laughing because you and I are so similar. It's the exact feeling that I had. I don't know how you have three. That's crazy. And I would be obsessed with people who had like four or five.
Bryony Deery (1:19)
Yeah, I was like, this is fascinating.
Lauryn Bosstick (1:22)
It's like an exhibit. Yeah, it is. So I totally get where you're at. You forget, you forget.
Bryony Deery (1:28)
Okay. And how do you feel with three?
Lauryn Bosstick (1:31)
I love three.
Bryony Deery (1:32)
Three is a good number. We do more.
Lauryn Bosstick (1:34)
I have to be honest.
Bryony Deery (1:37)
I feel you may have a more.
Lauryn Bosstick (1:38)
I'm flexible to more.
Bryony Deery (1:42)
Nice.
Lauryn Bosstick (1:43)
I told you, if I didn't gain 60 pounds per pregnancy, I would do six.
Bryony Deery (1:51)
Okay, I love that. I do see you as a bit of a Christian, like full house, big family Christmases. So nice.
Lauryn Bosstick (1:59)
I love it. I love the texture of it.
And I think it creates a lot of different dynamics to your point as you grow up. And I always picture when Michael and I are like 75 years old and we're out and we're at a restaurant and there's fun music playing, like I picture a big happy family.
Bryony Deery (2:20)
Yeah.
Lauryn Bosstick (2:20)
And listen, if that capped at three, I would be just fine. But I'm flexible to whatever happens happens. But we need to talk about you because here's the thing.
Like I said, I gained 60 per kid.
Bryony Deery (2:36)
Yeah.
Lauryn Bosstick (2:37)
This situation, I told you I want to strangle you when you walk in. This is so unfair. I see you pregnant. You're the cutest, sweetest, most beautiful, angelic pregnant person.
Bryony Deery (2:50)
Okay. My husband would beg to differ, I think, on the angel. No, we wouldn't.
Lauryn Bosstick (2:54)
Casper. No.
Bryony Deery (2:56)
And also, I did not feel small at all when I was pregnant. Honestly, and I wasn't. And you know what was so crazy was the cellulite on my legs.
Lauryn Bosstick (3:07)
She probably had one.
Bryony Deery (3:08)
No, no. I promise you, I had cellulite in my toes.
It was crazy. But what I will say is that it changed. It did, it did go back to how I was after I would say like the three month mark. I'm not saying my body went back. I'm saying the cellulite because it was crazy during pregnancy for me.
Lauryn Bosstick (3:28)
You have done, I think, such a good job of building the foundation before you got pregnant with all the fitness that you do. I think you primed your body for it almost.
Bryony Deery (3:39)
So I got married a month before I got pregnant. So I was in athlete mode.
And I feel like when you have a baby, before you have a baby, you need to go into athlete mode. You need to be on your game, on your health game, feeling great. When I say this, I don't mean like 100 percent healthy in bed 8 p.m. I love going out. I love margaritas. I love going out for dinner. I have a very, very balanced life. But I'm just saying the 80 percent just be your healthiest, strongest version. Do the workouts, do the mindset stuff, do all the work in that time because it makes such a difference.
Lauryn Bosstick (4:21)
Where were you with my first baby? That's not what I did.
