It's been a minute. I was telling these guys off camera that I just flew back from Washington, DC and finished shooting Paradise like for good, for good. Thank you very much. It was very, very sort of emotional because it's been, it's been a wonderful journey over these past three years. And like 10 years too, because there's people that I may be saying goodbye to that I may not see again. Like Cory was there, John Joyce, who was a cameraman. Did he work with you guys on the land at all? Maybe yes. Stillman, Glenn Stillman, who was one of our premier first ADs all throughout the- And who directed this episode. And the director of this episode. This episode. Right? Yes. Which I was like, let's go Stillman. Fogelman was there being his regular charming self. And it was really like to be in the nation's capital, which is sort of the backdrop for the show, to be able to finish their-
It's beautiful. Have you guys spent quality time in DC?
Chris Sullivan (2:51)
Yes, I actually have.
SPEAKER_7 (2:52)
I love DC.
Sterling K. Brown (2:54)
Absolutely gorgeous. A great culinary scene as well. Yes, yes. But just like looking at the people who designed this city, right? There is a majesty to it.
Mandy Moore (3:07)
As there should be.
Chris Sullivan (3:09)
Get there soon if you want to see it.
Mandy Moore (3:10)
If you want to see it before it's all being torn down.
Sterling K. Brown (3:13)
Get there quick. And gilded.
Sorry. I mean, it's true. Quick, get to those museums. There's about to be an arc.
SPEAKER_3 (3:20)
Get to those museums.
Sterling K. Brown (3:22)
Whatever, I don't know. Not an arc.
I could go further, but I'm not going to go too much further. On my ride home, I got a chance to watch- man, tell me, they're a little bit cute. The breadwinner. I got to watch The Breadwinner. The charming performance of Mandy Moore always elevates any and everything that she is in. Lesson of the movie.
A mother's work is often underappreciated. Yes. Correct. Underestimated. Underestimated until somebody has to step into those shoes and you realize, oh, she makes her whole life.
Chris Sullivan (3:56)
That's right.
Sterling K. Brown (3:56)
Go.
Mandy Moore (3:57)
And make it, makes it look easy.
Sterling K. Brown (3:58)
You know what I'm saying? It makes it look easy.
Chris Sullivan (4:01)
I also watched it recently. I texted you both from my hotel room in Vancouver. I'm like, all three of our movies are literally side by side in a hotel room. Is God Is.
Sterling K. Brown (4:10)
Yes.
Chris Sullivan (4:11)
The Breadwinner and Mercy. I didn't watch Mercy again.
Sterling K. Brown (4:13)
It's a hell of a trip for me.
Chris Sullivan (4:16)
Watching Is God Is, The Breadwinner, Back to Back. I don't think two movies could be further.
Sterling K. Brown (4:22)
On this spectrum.
Chris Sullivan (4:23)
Yeah, from each other than those two.
Sterling K. Brown (4:25)
As we have left This Is Us, we've sort of going off in our own individual journey.
Chris Sullivan (4:30)
Yeah.
