The Numbers told the story, they always do. It's one of those idiots who believe in analytics. This is A Numbers Game with Gill Alexander on VSiN. Good Monday morning to you. This is A Numbers Game at VSiN, the Sports Betting Network, vsin.com Game Plus, iHeartRadio, YouTube TV, Series X of Channel 189, Gill Alexander, Kelley Bydlon, on this Labor Day, 2026 Hello.
Yeah, no more white pants for you.
Kelley Bydlon (0:26)
No, that's right.
Gill Alexander (0:28)
It's over today.
Kelley Bydlon (0:29)
That one took me a second.
Gill Alexander (0:30)
Yeah, you're right.
Kelley Bydlon (0:31)
I had to put those in the back of the closet as usual.
Gill Alexander (0:34)
Those white slacks that you wear every day. Put them in the drawer.
Kelley Bydlon (0:37)
You know, my flashy white jacket I like to wear around town.
Gill Alexander (0:40)
Yeah.
Kelley Bydlon (0:40)
White leather jacket. That's what Kelley's known for.
Gill Alexander (0:42)
You don't do it after Labor Day. Darnell's already mad at me because usually what happens before the show, just a little inside baseball here, I come in, I say nothing. I go to the back. I throw him a beautiful Doug Williams spiral, with the exception of one day, right to Darnell. I throw him a Fiji water today. I forgot to do it. Now he in my area is like, you mad at me?
It's already we're off to a great.
Kelley Bydlon (1:03)
The director's mad at Gill off to a flying start.
Gill Alexander (1:07)
Yeah. Greg Peterson on the show today.
Kelley Bydlon (1:09)
Management knows there's water bottles being thrown over very expensive equipment.
Gill Alexander (1:13)
That's right. Haven't haven't missed yet. Nothing's happened yet. West Reynolds will join us as well. Oh, and this is great.
I mentioned this on Thursday or Friday. Can't remember. Justin Emery, who is the producer of Money Moves. Money Moves, which is not directly after us. Prop points is directly after us. But Money Moves with Stormy Bonatoni and Jonathan Montobel follows Prop Points with John Hansen.
And Justin Emery is their producer, Stormy and JVTs. And he did this amazing piece at vsin.com about MLB strikeout props, not just your garden variety. But hey, this pitcher, this starting pitcher, will have over under, pre-flopped number of strikeouts in a given game, although that's how his journey started. And we'll have Justin here, I believe, in studio, yes?
Kelley Bydlon (1:58)
Yeah, he's going to be in studio.
Gill Alexander (1:59)
And we're going to have Justin talk his way through how it evolved from there to the strikeout leader of the day in Major League Baseball. So from individual strikeout over under props to who's going to have the most strikeouts in Major League Baseball in a day, how he evolved, how he has done, and let me just spoiler alert on the how he has done, he continues to crush it.
Kelley Bydlon (2:21)
I was going to say, I think I talked to him on Thursday about coming on here, and I think he's hit two days in the last four on these. I mean, and talk in double digit, these are like 16 to 1, 10 to 1
Gill Alexander (2:31)
And again, and it's not about having Justin on to Brago. Look how great I am. It's about the process that he went through to get there, I think is so great.
Kelley Bydlon (2:39)
Yes, I agree, because how many times do we talk to do you run into betters? Maybe we don't talk to talk to these types of betters on the show. It's so often, Gill, but the, I think, I want to bet this market because this is something I know well. And then you just bang your head against the wall trying to beat it every day.
And one of two things happens, either you pivot and you figure out a different angle, a different edge to attack that with, which I think Justin has, or you kind of give up on it and move on, right? So I think it's just, it's a great story. I think of it as evolving, as a better, especially at specific markets.
Gill Alexander (3:13)
And on Labor Day, it's appropriate because he put in, he put in the time.
Kelley Bydlon (3:16)
That's right.
Gill Alexander (3:16)
He really did. Oh, and this, speaking of banging your head against the wall, that's me in the US Open. I'm just getting destroyed in this tournament.
Kelley Bydlon (3:25)
Yeah, Friday was good, man. Wasn't Friday good for you?
Gill Alexander (3:28)
Yeah, I mean, the winning days are there, but there's like a trickle when I win. When I lose, it's not fun.
