Kelley Bydlon (0:35)

I think I just saw a wager from Pete Fiutak.

Gill Alexander (0:39)

What?

Kelley Bydlon (0:40)

Really?

Gill Alexander (0:41)

It's firing?

Kelley Bydlon (0:42)

A betting theme. Oh, yeah.

Gill Alexander (0:44)

What's the word you care to share? We can ask him about it when he comes on.

Kelley Bydlon (0:47)

Double digit conference home dogs. He wants to talk about that. Okay.

Gill Alexander (0:51)

Is he texting you that personally or is he tweeting about this?

Kelley Bydlon (0:54)

Texted that to producer Andrew Maxwell, who sent it to the two of us.

Gill Alexander (0:59)

Would you like to hear the latest DVOA numbers? Week 6 DVOA numbers?

Pete Fiutak (1:04)

We have our power rankings coming up as well.

Gill Alexander (1:07)

Okay, Niners remain number one in DVOA. Chiefs are number two. Jags three despite winning, they fall.

Buffalo despite winning falls to four. Cincinnati Idol remains at five. Minnesota goes up one despite being idle to six. Carolina up to seven. Baltimore falls to eight. Houston up to nine. Seattle falls to ten.

Interesting. New England, 11th.

Kelley Bydlon (1:44)

What's the most surprising?

Gill Alexander (1:46)

Of what I just mentioned?

Kelley Bydlon (1:47)

Yeah, team of what you just mentioned.

Gill Alexander (1:49)

I still think Cincinnati five is.

Kelley Bydlon (1:51)

Yeah, I think they're good. But that's what I was hoping you were gonna say. I think they're good, but they're still not in my top 10

Gill Alexander (1:57)

Nope, still not in mine either.

I am, he's always been high on Houston. Remember, when they were 0-4, he says they were historically good 0-4. So they're ninth at 2-4.

Kelley Bydlon (2:08)

I was considering them, putting them like 10th. But I just don't know, like I asked you this yesterday, what do you make of, like it's really great to see CJ. Stroud having a good season. He's playing well.

Gill Alexander (2:21)

Spectacular pass passes.

Kelley Bydlon (2:23)

And like they still have some offensive line issues. He's just having a great year.

Gill Alexander (2:27)

Players in his face, making great throws.

Kelley Bydlon (2:30)

Yeah, all of that. Nico Collins is one of the best wide receivers in football.

I don't know what to make of this defense, though, so far, Gill. Like, this is, we thought the best defense in the league heading into the season. And what's kind of happening here? I don't really know.

Gill Alexander (2:44)

Of the two and four, so of the losing teams in the league, Houston is ninth. The Rams are thirteenth.

The best one in five is the Buccaneers at sixteenth. Remember he had them as one of the historically good O and fours also when they were O and four.

Kelley Bydlon (3:02)

He has them as a sixth rated defense and he's not alone. I mean, a lot of the advanced numbers say it's a top ten defense, so worst winning teams.

Gill Alexander (3:12)

Green Bay, 18th at four into Cleveland, 21st at four into Giants, 28th at three, two and one.

Worst team Miami, second worst team Chargers, third worst team Titans. No arguments there, although I think the Titans are probably worse than both of those others. Titans even in Victory did nothing, right? Generated a couple of turnovers.

Kelley Bydlon (3:38)

Yes, they did nothing to convince you that's a good football team by any means.

Gill Alexander (3:43)

Dead Middle, meaning the 16th and 17th teams, we already mentioned Tampa Bay 16th, Detroit 17th. Yeah, I think of the surprise, I think just to answer, Cincinnati to me, still the most surprising. Me too, but, you know, banked a few wins.

Worst unit of the top 10 teams, sorry to belabor this because I know you want to do some NBA futures here, but worst individual units of the top 10 teams, the Bills defense 28th overall, the Vikings offense 27th overall.

Kelley Bydlon (4:19)

I'm surprised the Vikings offense is only 27th.

Gill Alexander (4:21)

Fourth and sixth overall, though. That's how good they are. Buffalo has the second best offense. Minnesota has the single best defense. And the most consistent is the number one team with the Niners or first offense, third defense. Your 2026 San Francisco 49ers, whose special teams it should be noted are ranked 29th. So there's that.
