My mom and I had just finished dinner. I had an audition the next morning. She was helping me run lines.

I left her place around 9.45. It was a really nice night, so I wanted to take a walk along the beach. And I saw these... I thought they were red lights. I looked up again, and the lights got closer. They were moving. And then the next thing I know, there's something on top of me biting, scratching. I can't breathe. And then it flew right off me. I landed just a few feet away. But when I looked over, it was just a naked guy with male pattern baldness.

Turns out a patrol cop saw the whole thing, saved my life.

The doctors thought it was a miracle that I healed so quickly. But pretty soon after that I started transforming. I used to be able to control it better up until about a year ago. Everything I know about werewolves is like really just from movies, so I didn't realize transformations could be tied to stress or anger. One day I woke up in a park, and I don't remember how I got there.

Matt Pozzuolo (1:44)

Because you lose your memory, right?

Danielle Delgado (1:45)

Kenny, let Jason have his time.

Matt Pozzuolo (1:48)

Sorry, Dr. Alavit.

Danielle Delgado (1:49)

Go on, Jason.

James Dwyer (1:51)

Yeah. So anyway, then I got this phone call about a potential job, and if I complete eight weeks of this werewolf therapy, I'll be able to work on the show.

Danielle Delgado (2:01)

Gentle Two?

James Dwyer (2:03)

What?

Danielle Delgado (2:04)

Oh, you have two minutes to wrap up.

James Dwyer (2:06)

Yeah. I just want to do my time here, complete my therapy, and move on with my life. I'm not going to let this werewolf curse define who I am.

Anyway, I yield my time back to the group.

Danielle Delgado (2:18)

Okay. Well, that is our time for today. Let's all join hands.

All my power comes from within.

Matt Pozzuolo (2:28)

All my power comes from within.

Danielle Delgado (2:31)

I am not a monster.

Matt Pozzuolo (2:34)

I am not a monster.

Danielle Delgado (2:36)

I am a noble beast.

Matt Pozzuolo (2:38)

I am a noble beast.

Danielle Delgado (2:41)

Thank you all for showing up for yourselves today. The night is clear. Let's all go for a pack run.

Jason, why aren't you joining the others?

Jonathan Mitchell (3:02)

Yeah. Maybe later.

Okay, so obviously, being a werewolf has its downsides. But have you ever tried getting insured for a television production? Or woken up naked in a public park with no idea how you got there? At some point, you're just going to have to admit to yourself You know yourself- that you can't do this alone. You are going to need help. This is The Truth. I'm Jonathan Mitchell. And this story is about learning to live with the beast within.

Do you ever find yourself wearing the same thing almost every day? You always grab the same sweater or your favorite pair of pants. I work at home, so I actually do that a lot. But I think all of us do it to an extent. We have those favorite pieces of clothing that we wear all the time. The sponsor of today's episode is Quince, and that's exactly what they make. They focus on high-quality wardrobe staples made with premium materials, like this Mongolian cashmere sweater that I love. Their cashmere sweaters start at just $60, and I have two Quince sweaters. I love them both. I'm so glad I have two because I can switch between them. I don't have to wear the same one all the time. Find your next fall favorites at Quince. Download the Quince app for app-exclusive offers, or go to quince.com. Get free shipping on your order and 365-day returns. Now available in Canada and the UK too. And when Quince asks where you heard about them, let them know it was the truth. It's the best way to support the show.

Hey, Ryan Reynolds here for Mint Mobile. Now, I don't know if you've heard, but Mint's premium wireless is $15 a month. But I'd like to offer one other perk. We have no stores.

That means no small talk. Crazy weather we're having. No, it's not. It's just weather. It is an introvert's dream. Give it a try at mintmobile.com/switch.
