How Long Gone.
We're back sort of to our regular scheduled program. It's a humid, nasty little day. Jason voice in New York City. Jason, you're back in LA. You're a shell of yourself, but you've made it here to podcast today.
Jason Stewart (0:32)
I'm shelling. I'm Shelly Duvall. I'm over here getting, I literally last night, we got home around 9 p.m. or whatever. Once we battled the traffic and everything from the airport, go home, eat some, had some nice pozole verde, and it healed my bones.
And then I was like, hey, I have to upload the Pusha T episode, you know, upload about 10 p.m., go straight to bed and wake up, have a cup of coffee. And now I'm talking to you.
Chris Black (1:04)
We're back at it. I was at a, don't worry, at 9 a.m. I was with our friends and family over at the Apple breakfast where I got to fold like Kalani finally. I got to fold like Kalani.
Jason Stewart (1:15)
You had a look under the hood at a couple foldables.
Chris Black (1:18)
I gotta say, I don't need the fold, but the feeling of the fold is quite good. Like it is a nice-
Jason Stewart (1:27)
Wow, what a great sort of analogy for sex as well.
Chris Black (1:30)
The fold, the fold hand feel is, it's like pushing the, I'm sure for rich guys, it's like adjusting the time on your AP or maybe the way the shutter on the Leica hits or the 911 door closes. They nailed that feeling for sure. I was quite impressed with how solid it felt.
Jason Stewart (1:48)
Hey man, seven years of Samsung technology went into that fold, so yeah, I know. Exactly.
Chris Black (1:54)
So somehow they did it better, but still.
No, it was pretty crazy though, I have to say. Stuff like that, I don't care about it. And then when I see it, I'm like, okay, people are going to buy this. And it doesn't need to be me, but people are going to buy this.
Jason Stewart (2:06)
I was sad that I missed out on this friends and family activation, the photo show coming up.
Chris Black (2:13)
Tonight.
Jason Stewart (2:13)
This also looks really cool, that's tonight or whatever. The 18 Pro camera shit seems to be turning heads in the shutter bug community.
Chris Black (2:26)
I've got one.
Jason Stewart (2:26)
Are you noticing this as well?
Chris Black (2:27)
I've got one sitting on my counter right now. I don't, yeah, I mean, I've noticed that, you know me, I'm pretty loyal to my error, but I'm gonna give this thing a shot.
Jason Stewart (2:37)
What color 18 is sitting on your counter right now?
Chris Black (2:39)
Do you know I got the black, bro? They didn't give me no bullshit. They said, Chris, what color do you want? I said, you already know. You already know. Okay. I appreciate them. I appreciate, though, on last time around, everybody got orange. It worked.
It literally worked. I only saw the orange one at first. You know what I mean? And I was surprised.
Jason Stewart (2:58)
What do you mean by it worked?
Chris Black (3:00)
I think that that's all people saw early. So I'm imagining that that got people to actually buy the orange, because I saw the orange more than I thought I would after the initial.
Jason Stewart (3:10)
The orange influence. I guess to me, whenever I would see a Kia Soul or a Scion XB driving down the street and it was the orange one, I'm like, oh, you must have got a really good deal. But exactly, I guess maybe it's different for iPhones because they all people like to, people unfortunately like to express themselves. So that's which I can't get a black phone. That's too boring. I'm too flashy.
Chris Black (3:34)
I'm the opposite. I'm the opposite of that.
Jason Stewart (3:36)
We know boring as I want baby blue next.
Chris Black (3:39)
I'm boring as hell, boy. Don't don't get it twisted. I'm the most boring guy on earth. All right. Well, look, thank you to everyone who came to the Ghanis. It was a major success, I think.
And Jason and I both didn't have, we didn't really have fun, but as long as you did, that's what matters. You know, as a ticket holder.
Jason Stewart (3:59)
Does LeBron have fun, you know, setting records? No, he's working. He's busy. He's focused. He's locked in. He can celebrate later. He can hug a trophy, smoke a cigar, cry into his 2008 Dom Perignon or whatever he decided to pull from the cellar for a victory. But yeah, when you're in the eye of the storm, you're just saying like, oh shit, I have four minutes until this, and now I got to do this, and this is going to happen. And I hope this does happen. And you know, but it was great. I had a fun time overall, but you know, it's kind of hard to do an award show and also entertain at the same time. I want to give a shout out to our women in our lives, the first ladies of How Long Gone for, you know, entertaining guests while we were busy working. You know what I mean? It had a nice sort of energy to it, you know, entertaining clients, you know, showing, let me give you, can I give you a house tour, you know, Sabrina style?
