How Long Gone, Chris Black. It's a beautiful Sunday morning here in Toronto. Them jeans and I are in neighboring hotel rooms, and luckily, I'm not hearing anything through the walls once this recording starts. I don't know if you can say the same, Jason.

Jason Stewart (1:04)

I don't think so. I did try to airdrop you something earlier, and request was denied.

Chris Black (1:10)

I didn't get that alert, but if it was something funny.

Pusha T (1:12)

Oh, you didn't? Oh, you didn't?

Jason Stewart (1:13)

No, it was just a restaurant recommendation.

Chris Black (1:17)

Oh, okay. I thought you maybe were pranking me, because sometimes you like to have fun, you know, with technology and stuff.

Jason Stewart (1:22)

If we were on the airplane, I would send you one of my meh-mehs, and it would have made you a LOL, baby.

Chris Black (1:28)

Oh, I love a meh-meh.

I got up early this morning and walked 30 minutes to check out a new Equinox. Pause. I felt like Christopher Columbus. That was kind of an early explorer.

Jason Stewart (1:41)

Yeah, the streets were littered with Ossington's finest glass bottles shattered and pizza crusts and vomit and crisps that have been stepped on.

Chris Black (1:54)

Yeah, it was mostly, it was mostly, you know, Canadian nerds and sixes walking dogs in some of the ugliest athleisure I've ever seen in my life at that time. But I got to say, a new Equinox, whew baby, this shit was nice. I have to be, I have to be honest. I was, I was impressed with the, it's like being on a new plane. 100%, 100%. Everything works. Everything's new. They got all the updated gear.

So it was worth, I'm glad I made the effort to see the sights of a, what time did you wake up, fam? Not crazy, seven. And I, cause it took, cause I wanted to walk, cause I was like, it's 30 minutes. It'll be good.

Jason Stewart (2:30)

Being sober is crazy, bro.

Chris Black (2:32)

It sucks, dude. I woke up, I felt pretty bad. I walked to a gym, got a coffee on the way, worked out, walked home, felt, still feel pretty bad. So it's not, I mean, you know, I'm, I'm buzzing obviously because it's a Sunday, my least favorite day of the week. So I have to kind of mentally prepare for that, no matter what.

Jason Stewart (2:51)

You're buzzing in a, in a bad way, you mean? I just, not, not like I'm just buzzing with excitement. You're more so buzzing like a hornet's nest of anger because it is today, God's Day, the dumbest, laziest, Sunday is the worst day.

Chris Black (3:06)

No, people are out waiting in line for fucking fluffy pancakes and you know, just there's nothing happening. I mean, today we at US Open Men's final, we've got a delayed flight on Air Canada. We've got them jeans, delayed birthday gather. So there's the schedule is packed, which does bode well for me, as far as my mental health goes.

Jason Stewart (3:26)

Bodes well for you, does not bode well for How Long Gone listener who might not be getting this episode exactly perfectly on time. But you know, like you said, it's TJ's belated NYC birthday supper, delayed flights, you know, Dundas Airlines is pushing back on the tarmac a little too late.

Chris Black (3:46)

I said, I guess Drew said that basically because LaGuardia is experiencing so much, so many issues with like traffic, that this just happens now.

Like every sort of, it's sort of just like, yeah, the air traffic control shit. Cause it got bumped last night at fucking 10 o'clock. And there's no, I mean, obviously it's not weather. You can't really plan for that. Also it's beautiful outside.

Jason Stewart (4:08)

But it's only, it was only pushback 20 minutes. And isn't that so Canadian that they, like in America, if the flight's delayed 15, 20 minutes, even 45 minutes, they say, yeah, what, and what, what are you going to do about it? You know? But in Canada, they're like, I have a, I have a very important confession to make. Mr. Stewart, P, Jason. Our flight tomorrow will be seven minutes late. And we are so absolutely sorry for this. We wanted to tell you and be fully honest.
