Jason, we're at the age where we've attended a lot of weddings, not only our own, but friends, family, et cetera, et cetera. And the through line, unless they hire you, is shitty music.
**Jason Stewart** (0:10)
Yeah, the cross-section of people who can DJ a wedding well and people who are cool, very small, so much that you would have to throw a dart at a dartboard and hit a bullseye just to find them. And luckily we did, Chris.
**Chris Black** (0:23)
Thank God, and dart works with actual musicians and artists, many of whom have their own careers and tour in bands like Leon Bridges, Taylor Swift, The Dare, Serenity Carpenter. I could go on and on. Dart DJs use vinyl and are cool in a way that your friends would be, not in a dated Vegas performer type of way, and they have an in-house stylist so they don't show up looking like shit.
Shout out to Pete for that one.
**Jason Stewart** (0:47)
Dart can do intimate stuff to huge celebrity events as well. Hiring Dart feels like hiring your very talented friend who happens to be a DJ.
Dart is for people who actually like music with 14 years in the biz. Tons of experience. I've worked with them. Highly recommended. So if you are getting married or you have any type of cool event going on and you need a good DJ, they got you. Hubs in LA, SF, Austin, New York, Chicago, all over the place.
**Chris Black** (1:14)
Dart, like throwing a dart, dashcollective.com. That's D-A-R-T dash collective.com. Email Michael at dartcollective.com and tell him that Chris and Jason from How Long Gone sent you.
It is Chris Black. A beautiful sunny morning here in New York City. Them jeans. Your final hours at the idyllic Sea Ranch. Are you feeling centered?
**Jason Stewart** (1:59)
I'm feeling as centered as somebody who could be podcasting at 6 45 a.m. But yeah, I'm feeling good. My body has, has relaxed and unclenched. I think I slept on the floor last night for a few hours.
**Chris Black** (2:14)
I'm sorry, what?
**Jason Stewart** (2:15)
We were, we were just like watching TV and I put some, I just put a couple of beach tiles down on the, on the carpet floor in the living room. You know, sometimes the floor is more comfortable than the bed in like a, Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then the justy kind of way if you hit it just right, you know what I mean? I brought, I brought a yoga block and a little lacrosse ball, so I was rolling around, you know.
**Chris Black** (2:38)
Jesus Christ, man. I'm getting in there. You got to get in there. I guess, I guess car travel. Will you, hold on, sorry. You flew with a yoga block and a lacrosse ball?
**Jason Stewart** (2:48)
Yeah.
**Chris Black** (2:49)
Wow.
**Jason Stewart** (2:49)
I always fly with a ball.
**Chris Black** (2:50)
Yeah, the ball, no, of course.
**Jason Stewart** (2:52)
The ball don't take up no space.
**Chris Black** (2:53)
The ball is what?
**Jason Stewart** (2:54)
That's half of one of your little Tom Brown socks or whatever. The, but the yoga block in my defense, it's the foam one, so it's lighter.
It does take up a little chunk of space in the suitcase, but I'm over here in Sea Ranch. I'm wearing t-shirts and shorts.
**Chris Black** (3:12)
Yeah, sure, you don't need a lot of clothing, I understand.
**Jason Stewart** (3:15)
Yeah, the formal wear was left at home. All the trenches were at home. The, my black fleece, the row, Patagonia, half zip, left that one at home.
**Chris Black** (3:26)
I saw that going viral, the 1850
**Jason Stewart** (3:29)
Yeah, we were walking, Carolyn and I were walking yesterday. She's like, I really want to get like a thin black, like fleece kind of thing. I think it could be the vibe. And I was like, this one, this one, this one. She's like, no, maybe one like by the row. And I was like, very funny. And then four hours later.
**Chris Black** (3:45)
1850 I mean, look, prices are prices. If people are willing to pay, what are you supposed to?
**Jason Stewart** (3:49)
It's a great piece. It's cute.
**Chris Black** (3:50)
You know, what are you supposed to do?
**Jason Stewart** (3:51)
I'm literally wearing the Patagonia version of it right now. Mine's vintage, of course.
**Chris Black** (3:55)
I can't wear the snap tee. It doesn't look good on me. I don't know what it is. I love it. It's a classic piece of American clothing, but I can't do it. I've tried a million times.
