How Long Gone, coming at you live. It's a muggy Thursday afternoon in New York. Jason and I just rushed back from JFK, and it feels good to be home, I gotta say.

**Jason Stewart** (0:59)
Welcome back to America. Did you have fun in Copenhagen, though?

**Chris Black** (1:05)
I did. I finally got that prime weather that people keep talking about, so I was able to ride my bike all over town. But I did, there was an interesting development that I wanted to talk about that surprised me, and I know will surprise you.
So Larry from Throwing Fits was in town, and I knew he had been working out. And I was like, all right, bro, let's go to the gym. I go to this gym, sporting health club is down the street from the hotel, I'll do whatever workout you want to do.

**Jason Stewart** (1:33)
And nuts meet table.

**Chris Black** (1:36)
I went to the gym with Larry every day, and Larry's putting up plates. I want to go on record and say that Larry, I haven't been lifting heavy like that, and Larry was lifting heavy, and I was impressed. And I just wanted to give him the credit he deserves for that.

**Jason Stewart** (1:47)
You know, I have noticed that he is looking good in photos. He looks great.

**Chris Black** (1:52)
I mean, he was obviously wearing insane clothes to the gym. You know what I mean, compared to my sort of all-black Nike, you know, the throwing fits, camo shorts, or a little, or whatever. There's some sort of loud print.

**Jason Stewart** (2:04)
He was wearing some crazy workout gear. You didn't like it?

**Chris Black** (2:07)
No, no, I did like it. It's just, it's very different than what I would do. You know what I mean?

**Jason Stewart** (2:12)
Opposites attract.

**Chris Black** (2:13)
Opposites attract, but I was just, I was impressed. I'm sore from these workouts, and I think it may have encouraged me to go back to a more classic bodybuilder, you know, push-pull-leg split that I had foregone for something a little more modern.

**Jason Stewart** (2:27)
Okay, so you were sleeping on the fundamental classics, and you were doing some two-minute, like calisthenics stuff, just weird, different stuff, or you were-

**Chris Black** (2:37)
Yeah, I just wasn't going-

**Jason Stewart** (2:38)
You're keeping your eye off the target, which is plate stacking?

**Chris Black** (2:42)
Yeah, exactly. Well, I think that what it is is I forget when you work out with someone, especially when it's a fellow, a podcast rival, you can't let him shame you that much. You know what I mean? Like you can't let him outlift you like crazy.

**Jason Stewart** (2:58)
It's a Jordan Byrd scenario-

**SPEAKER_5** (3:00)
Yeah, exactly, yeah.

**Jason Stewart** (3:02)
In the weight room. Yeah, I mean, I just hope that you guys didn't have such podcast competition in the weight room that one of you may exert yourself too much to the point of injury. I just don't want you to pull something on behalf of podcasts.

**Chris Black** (3:19)
I'd be upset if he had a hernia or something. You know what I mean? Just that would affect the output.

**Jason Stewart** (3:24)
You wouldn't be able to go on. That would be crazy.

**Chris Black** (3:27)
Yeah, that would crush me too much.

**Jason Stewart** (3:30)
So you're saying you've been doing some little bitch ass movements for a while now, and now you were just doing some regular old squatting, bench pressing.

**Chris Black** (3:40)
Yeah, I was doing regular stuff at a medium weight. I wasn't going crazy. I was doing a lot of interval sprints and my uphill walk and all that stuff. And now I'm like, fuck man, it feels good to be sore as hell. You know, it feels good to be like my delts hurt.

**Collier Schorr** (3:55)
Pause.

**Chris Black** (3:55)
You know what I mean? It feels good. It feels good.
But I also-

**Collier Schorr** (3:59)
Congrats.

**Jason Stewart** (4:00)
Congrats.

**Chris Black** (4:01)
You know, sometimes you just need to be reintroduced to things from an unlikely source. And that's what happened.

**Jason Stewart** (4:05)
That's why I always keep an open mind.
