Five, four, three, two, one. Nick DiPaolo, ladies and gentlemen!

Nick DiPaolo (0:07)

Joey Boy!

Joe Rogan (0:08)

Nick, how do we become old men that don't understand computers and technology anymore?

Nick DiPaolo (0:11)

How'd that happen? Even if I was 20, I still wouldn't get it. I'm not smart enough. You would've got it.

Joe Rogan (0:17)

Stop being so hard on yourself.

Nick DiPaolo (0:19)

Your boy Jamie seems to have a grass bunny. Must be German.

Joe Rogan (0:22)

No, he's just on the ball. He just understands ______.

He understands ______. Is there anything that I understand that you don't understand?

Jamie (0:29)

Yeah, a lot of ______ about cars. Why is he doing that right now?

Joe Rogan (0:32)

And chicks, right?

Jamie (0:33)

What happened there?

Joe Rogan (0:37)

A lot of ______ about cars, but that's just ______ you don't pay attention to cars.

Jamie (0:40)

It doesn't register. Some of it just ______. It goes in and out.

Nick DiPaolo (0:44)

Car stuff?

Jamie (0:44)

I've heard about it a lot. Some things with electronics is the same way. There's a certain level of electricity.

Nick DiPaolo (0:49)

I'm scared of ______. Ohms and stuff like that.

Jamie (0:51)

I just start ______. I don't want to die, so I just stop listening.

Joe Rogan (0:53)

My buddy Jimmy DiTilio from Newton, Newton, Mass, he's an electrician and one of the guys that he used to work with.

I'll never forget this. He was telling me this, oh, look, someone likes to ______ hear the ding every time the text goes out.

Nick DiPaolo (1:05)

No, I don't.

Joe Rogan (1:06)

The ding.

Nick DiPaolo (1:08)

That's so bad. I'm shutting up.

Joe Rogan (1:09)

Electricity. He was working with this guy, and I don't remember what he was working on, but the guy just got just totally zapped, blew off all of his skin, his ______ ears are gone, his eyelids are gone. I mean, it just became a monster, but survived, and I'll never forget that. I'll never forget him telling me about that guy.

And from that moment on, from when I was like 16, I've been ______ terrified of electricity.

Nick DiPaolo (1:34)

Yeah, because you can't see it and ______. Yeah, it's crazy.

Joe Rogan (1:37)

We live in a box, right? And in the walls of this box is this ______ invisible thing that if you stick a fork in there, it'll kill you.

Just blow your ______ brains out. Well, it actually does. It's like a fail safe, right? If you stick a fork in it, you'll just get a horrible jolt.

Jamie (1:53)

That's the thing. I don't know.

Joe Rogan (1:55)

Wasn't that? That's the difference between alternating current and direct current, right?

Isn't it?

Nick DiPaolo (2:01)

If I knew that answer, I wouldn't be afraid of it.

Joe Rogan (2:03)

Well, apparently in England, they have a far higher level of electricity that's going through their walls.

Nick DiPaolo (2:10)

Yeah, because the ______, when you go over there, you have to have special adapters.

Joe Rogan (2:13)

Yeah, that ______ just kills everyone that's stupid.

We let the stupid people live. In England, if you stick a fork in the wall, it finds your whole family, kills them too. It's apparently super powerful.

Nick DiPaolo (2:25)

I was changing the filter. I have a generator, a kola generator, you know, it runs on like natural gas and ______.

Joe Rogan (2:30)

Oh, for ______, in case the winter comes, when winter's coming.

Nick DiPaolo (2:32)

I live at the end of a dirt road in the woods, so when the power goes out, mine's usually the first house to go out.

And it kicks right, it's the best thing I ever did. But I'm out there like ______ changing the filter, and then all of a sudden I look over and there's little instructions like on the inside of the door saying you have to disconnect the battery when you're not. I got like a can of Coke in my hand, you know, I can hardly see what I'm doing.

Joe Rogan (2:53)

Screwdriver in your mouth.

Nick DiPaolo (2:56)

I am frightened at you.

Joe Rogan (2:57)

When I lived in Colorado, we had one of those, it was running on propane. So when the power would go out, it's awesome. The power would go out, it goes click, and then you would hear it immediately.

Nick DiPaolo (3:07)

In one second, it just ______. The guy that sold me the house told me to get it.

He had like a small one, he said you should get her, you know.

Joe Rogan (3:15)

Does yours run on propane? Yeah.
