Welcome back to the Daily Crypto Deep Dive. Three months ago, looking at your crypto portfolio could ruin your morning. Now some of those same holdings have recovered enough to change the conversation completely. But before we start celebrating, ask yourself something uncomfortable. How much of your confidence comes from understanding what you own, and how much comes from the color of the numbers beside it? Welcome back to the Daily Crypto Deep Dive. Today, we are going back to the summer sell-off, comparing the prices with where we stand now, checking the predictions, and asking who deserves your trust. Because there is a difference between changing your mind when the evidence changes and pretending you were right all along. Our starting point is June 25th, 2026 We are comparing that day's coin market cap snapshot with prices checked on Monday, September 21st. An 88-day window. These are dollar prices from the same starting date, not each coin's perfect intraday bottom. That distinction matters when somebody starts advertising imaginary investment returns. Bitcoin was $59,722.

Our latest check puts it around $85,759, a recovery of approximately 44%.

Ethereum was $1,565 and is now around $2,738, up roughly 75%.

XRP has moved from about $1.04 to $1.49, approximately 43% higher. Solana has climbed from $67.57 to $116.87, a gain of nearly 73%.

Further down the board, Chainlink has risen from $7.23 to $12.79, roughly 77%. Cardano has moved from $14.34 to $24.08, around 68%.

Dogecoin has recovered from $7.48 to $9.74, about 30%.

BNB is up approximately 42% from $559.80 to $793.92.

Monero has gained around 84% from $307.48 to $565.55.

Stellar has risen roughly 18%.

From 17.85 cents to about 21 cents. Notice the spread. This was not one identical recovery across every portfolio. Owning the strongest performer and owning the weakest would have produced very different experiences. Put $1,000 into each of Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP and Solana at those June snapshot prices. And that hypothetical $4,000 basket would now be worth approximately $6,346 before fees and taxes. That is nearly 59% growth without leverage. But this is hindsight arithmetic, not a strategy anyone could execute with guaranteed results. Nobody standing in June had September's chart. And don't use this episode to beat yourself up for not buying more. Money needed for your mortgage, rent or family was not spare investment capital just because prices later recovered. The person who protected their household did not fail some imaginary bravery test. The useful question is not whether you could have made more with perfect hindsight. It is whether the decisions you made were sensible with the information, finances and risk tolerance you actually had at the time. And June genuinely looked unpleasant. CoinMarketCap's Fear and Greed Index was reported at 18 on June 25th, firmly in extreme fear. The latest reading is 79

We have moved from one end of the emotional spectrum towards the other in less than three months. That index measures sentiment. It does not tell you tomorrow's price. Think about what that means personally. The investor who could barely open their app in June might now be checking it 20 times before lunch. Has their understanding improved? Or has the market simply replaced their fear of losing money with their fear of missing out? There are real developments behind the recovery, not just a better mood. Recent reporting highlighted renewed investor demand, including $433 million flowing into Bitcoin exchange-traded funds on Friday. Bitcoin traded through $86,000 on Monday, its strongest level since January. Those are observable developments. Calling the next six months inevitable is something else entirely. Which brings us to the influencer bullshit. And now we need to talk about something that annoys the hell out of us in this industry. The way fear and greed get packaged and sold back to you depending on what the market happens to be doing that week. Because we kept the receipts. Let's start with Crypto Rover. Back on June 12th, with Bitcoin around $63,500, Rover was talking about building positions from $58,000 all the way down towards $45,000 to $47,000. On the same day, he posted that Bitcoin had never bottomed below its estimated electrical production cost, which he put at $47,000. Finishing the post with, Take notes. So let's take notes. Bitcoin did fall further. It eventually reached roughly $58,500 around the beginning of July. But that $45,000 to $47,000 area never arrived. Instead, Bitcoin turned around. And this wasn't just one throwaway comment. On June 30th, with Bitcoin around $58,600, Rover said he thought Bitcoin could return towards the 350-week moving average, which implied another correction of roughly 22% and a price around $45,700.

It didn't. Over the following two months, Bitcoin went the other direction, eventually trading close to $79,000.

Through July, the bearish targets continued. Around July 20th, he warned that Bitcoin might have one more flush toward $50,000.
