Here's the truth nobody wants to hear. You are not going to win your Fantasy League Planet Safe. Every single year, chalk picks blow up in your face. And today, I've got Nick Ercolano with me, and we're going bold. We're gonna talk about some of our spiciest predictions for the 2026 season. And Nick, you brought some heat right off the top. Go ahead and tell me why you think Bryan Thomas Jr. might not only not be the wide receiver one on the Jags, but you've got him even lower than that.

Yeah, just not a fan of BDGE's setup this year. He was not a fan from a ball-watching perspective. I think everyone was hyped about him last year. And then I think we saw some stuff play out in Jacksonville that's going to carry over into this year. And mainly that was the involvement of the other weapons around there. So the bold take I actually have is that he's going to end up being fourth in receptions on the team.
And I don't think it's that crazy, given the fact that he ended up finishing second on the team in receptions last year, he was two receptions ahead of Jacoby Meyers, I believe, who played half the season, and six receptions ahead of Brenton Strange, or it might be the other way around, two ahead of one, six ahead of the other. Both of them missed significant times. So I think heading into this season, it's not far-fetched to think that all of the past catchers together, it is without a doubt a muddied picture here. But I think they're going to be relatively close in terms of targets, in terms of receptions. I don't think the alpha status of the way people think about Brian Thomas Jr. coming into the league anymore is what that pecking water actually is. We saw Parker Washington end up being the guy by the end of the year. They had three 100-yard seasons last year by receivers. Every single one of them was by Parker Washington. Brian Thomas Jr. and Trevor Lawrence don't click. They just don't work together well. And hot take, it matters who your quarterback is when you're a fantasy wide receiver. And we see that time and again, like Trey McBride, very good tight end, very elite when he's with Jacoby Berset instead of Kyler Murray. Same thing with like, you know, everybody else in Arizona last year. Like these things kind of matter. And I think Trevor Lawrence was kind of traumatized when he came into the league and he was around these receivers that couldn't catch passes. They were dropping passes consistently. Then we saw that happen with Brian Thomas Jr. over and over again last year, scared to go over the middle. Finally, Parker Washington stepped in. Finally, they traded for Jacoby Myers. And those guys were so sure handed that they became his go to guy. I think Bretton Strange is a playmaker as well as who I have with more receptions than Brian Thomas Jr. Don't get me wrong, he's going to have high ceiling weeks. He's a big time playmaker. But the way I look at BTJs, he's a guy who's going to get four to five shots a game. Right. And if the volatility goes a little bit in the unlucky path for him, I think you're just going to miss out on games where he doesn't catch that 40, 50-yard pass downfield. I think Liam Cohen is a really, really strong offensive mind. I think he's going to get the ball around to the playmakers that are open in the offense. And I think Trevor Lawrence showed last year how comfortable he is with Parker Washington and Jacoby Myers.
