Week three is upon us, and Thursday night kicked off with some big time scoring. So, if you started Bijon Robinson, or Christian Watson, or Drake London, or Matthew Golden, hell, even Michael Pettix, you're probably sitting pretty. But what happens if you faced one of them? Well, that's what we're here for. I'm Josh, I got Joel and Ryan with me. We are answering all of your week three start sick questions to get you off the Schneid and into the win column. Stay tuned.
Welcome in to Start Sit Different Day here on Club Fantasy FFL. I am your host, Joshua Hudson. With me, what feels like it might just be a regular thing this season, folks. Joel Worth, thanks for joining us. And of course, for sure, my Tuesday and Wednesday cohosts, the always, the always amazing Mr. Ryan Weiss.
How are we doing, gentlemen? We ready for a Sunday kickoff?
Joel Worth (1:25)
I'm in mourning, but I'm sure everyone else is fine.
Joshua Hudson (1:30)
Yeah. The Packers did not did not really show up on Thursday. What the hell?
Ryan Weiss (1:35)
And I unfortunately started that defense and special teams in two separate leagues, one of which heavily penalizes. I have negative six fantasy points in my ESPN league right now.
Joshua Hudson (1:46)
So what you're telling me is we ban kickers and ban defenses.
Ryan Weiss (1:51)
Never, never.
Joshua Hudson (1:54)
Or as our good buddy, Joe Zola would say, this is why you do IDP leagues.
Ryan Weiss (2:00)
And I play in those two, but I still love team defense. But man, did I guess wrong on Penix? Now, what I will say, you mentioned Penix in the intro in my head. So I went and looked at my rankings to take my out players, the out players out of my rankings. And I realized that I did not adjust Penix. And I don't remember if this was a conscious decision. I left Penix at 32, the worst starting quarterback on the week.
And so I was like, oh, I really fucked that up. His numbers were not that great. He's not gonna be QB 32, let me be clear, but his numbers were pedestrian. He just improved that offense wildly.
Joshua Hudson (2:37)
Well, I mean, the Falcons had-
Joel Worth (2:38)
London had like 80% of their receiving cards. It was all Drake London, yeah.
Joshua Hudson (2:43)
Yeah, I think there was a stat I saw. I can't remember who posted it. In 15 career games, I believe with Michael Pennex at quarterback, Drake London has over 100 receptions, almost 1500 receiving yards.
He's averaging almost 100 yards receiving per game.
Ryan Weiss (3:05)
I was going to say that that's our biggest mea culpa from from Tuesday and Wednesday was I was like, everybody's trying to buy London and I was hesitant. Clearly, Pennex was the answer.
Joshua Hudson (3:17)
Well, I mean, and that's the thing is like, I always kind of felt that Pennex would be the answer to London, but I just wasn't sure what Pennex we were getting.
Ryan Weiss (3:25)
Yeah, certainly it wasn't the answer to Kyle Pitts. God, no.
Joshua Hudson (3:28)
Yeah, Kyle Pitts averages not even 40 yards receiving per game with Drake London at quarterback. So despite the Stefanski offense being favorable to tight ends, clearly Michael Pennex is not.
Ryan Weiss (3:39)
So there's actually Kyle Pitts actually averages zero yards per game with Drake London at quarterback. Josh, just let me.
Joshua Hudson (3:47)
My bad, Michael Pennex, fair enough, fair enough. All right, let's get this shindig started. If you're watching us over on YouTube, please like the video, subscribe to our ever so growing YouTube channel. We're over 3,100 subscribers now, which is fantastic. Love that. Appreciate all the love and support. We do have the super chat function available. This is huge on Saturdays because let me tell you, we get absolutely inundated with questions, much like we did on Wednesday night when we were, instead of a 60-minute show, a 100-minute show. This show typically runs about 60 minutes, but we have a hard out at 1230 So if you guys have any questions, please drop them in the chat. We will answer all of them, but if you are in a hurry because we do want to cut off at 1230, hit that super chat and we'll answer them a hell of a lot faster. Of course, we have our 100 percent completely free Discord. I'm dropping the link here in the chat right now. It's also in the description of this video.
Feel free, hop in. We answer all of the StarSid questions. I have a lot more free time these days simply because I'm holed up with a broken ankle, but Joel's active. Ryan comes in especially on Sundays to answer StarSid questions after 12 o'clock. Myself, Hoov, Molina, Austin with his DFS Cash Games. We are all over the place. We answer and do it all for you guys. All right, first and foremost, and Ryan, since you're on the show, if you could do me a huge favor and help me out with timestamps so I can progress through this show, do you just keep them in the show sheet?
