It is week two of the NFL season. Did you get that W in week one? Are you panicking yet? Come on, no need to panic. It's only one week of fantasy football. That's why we're back. It is Start Sit Different Day, and we are here to help you answer any and all of your Start Sit questions heading into week two. Did you face Josh Allen? Did you face Jameer Gibbs? You might be struggling, but you know what? We got the answers to help you out. Stay tuned.
Welcome, welcome, welcome to Club Fantasy Start Sit. It's a different day. I'm your host, Josh Hudson, with me this week, Mr. Joel Worth. We're running it back, cause you know what? Apparently, we had a damn good week one.
I'll take it, right? I'll take it.
Joel Worth (1:14)
Yeah, the two of us together puts fantasy explosions on the board like that.
Josh Hudson (1:18)
I think we got to say it was a hell of a week for fantasy football players. Like it was a very high scoring week across the board. Apparently, teams just decided to fuck playing defense because yeah, but hey, better for us, right? Well, unless you play in IDP leagues, I guess. There's definitely that. All right, friendly reminder.
As the title suggests, starts a different day, we do our starts at questions on Saturdays because Sundays, that's what our Discord is for. If you are new to the program at any point in time, hit the link in the description of this video and come in and join our Discord. I'm going to drop the link here in the chat right now. But till then, this show runs literally on your start sit questions. So drop them all in the chat. We've got a few things we're going to do to kind of take care of business, get the ball rolling while all those questions sort of like trickle in.
So yeah, Joel, we ready to knock out some news and notes here?
Joel Worth (2:25)
Yeah, let's go. We got a lot.
Josh Hudson (2:27)
Yeah, there is a lot. Let's start with the outs for this week. And for everybody that has questions already in the chat, we see you. We're going to knock some of this stuff out real quick. Tay, we see your question. Drop your decisions in the chat. We'll bring them up and we'll address them as we go. We promise. All right. Out this week.
This was kind of an in practice situation. And Nico Collins sweep the hamstring. And guess what? He's out for week two. Jets wide receiver Omar Cooper out dealing with an ankle injury. Kyler Murray not yet back from concussion protocol. Him and wide receiver Joanne Jennings dealing with personal matters. Both out for the Vikings.
Falcons quarterback Michael Pennex Jr. Not quite back from his ACL injury. He will be out this week.
Excuse me, Falcons quarterback Tuatanga Wailoa, doubtful, as of right now, with the oblique injury he suffered in practice leading into week one. So we get another week of Cooper Rush for the Atlanta Falcons. And nobody should be rushing to start Kyle Pitts as a result. Broncos wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold. 49ers wide receiver Deshaun Stribling. Commander's tight end Shiga Konkwo also all out this week. The doubtful tag, as previously mentioned with Tuan Tunga-Vai Loa, also found Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers.
And Raiders tight end Brock Bowers. So that's two pretty damn good players out of your fantasy line up for week two, because doubtful players have like a 99% rate of missing their game. So would not count on either of those players. Questionable this week, Bucks wide receiver Jalen McMillan, Saints wide receiver Chris Olave, Steelers wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr., Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, though he does say he's playing, so no need to fret. Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey, Broncos running back RJ. Harvey, and 49ers running back Kaelin Black. All questionable. I think the only one from this list that I'm like the most worried about is probably Ladd McConkey dealing with the rib injury. Joel, would you concur with that?
Joel Worth (4:42)
Yeah, I was kind of thinking he was going to be closer to doubtful than questionable, but yeah, I kind of don't expect him to play.
Josh Hudson (4:49)
Okay. Yeah, I mean, it is realistically what should be an easier match up against the Raiders. I think if you're going to sit the player, this would kind of be the week to do it, but I'm also not an NFL coach nor a doctor for that matter. So and then of course, backup quarterbacks that are starting this week, previously mentioned Falcons quarterback, Cooper Rush, Seahawks quarterback, Drew Locke gets the nod as well. And I'll bring this one up because Stephen George drops it in the chat. It's only week two and the Puka injuries are already starting. Yeah, there was no official designation for Puka simply because he plays on Monday. So this is definitely going to be a situation to monitor. We'll probably get more of an official tag a little bit later today, probably well after we go off air.
