Welcome to Ladies Who Lore, the only podcast that dives deep into all things lore and bottles of wine. We're your hosts, Lindsay, Sammy, and Jessie. Now fill up your glasses, gather around the fire, and let's lore.

Happy birthday.

SPEAKER_2 (0:35)

Always so slow.

SPEAKER_3 (0:39)

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_2 (0:41)

Finish it.

SPEAKER_3 (0:42)

Happy birthday. I don't know if you guys can tell, but it's our birthday.

SPEAKER_4 (0:50)

It is our birthday.

SPEAKER_1 (0:52)

Did you throw us something?

SPEAKER_3 (0:53)

Did you give us a gift?

SPEAKER_5 (0:55)

We're here for you, listener.

SPEAKER_4 (0:56)

Okay.

SPEAKER_2 (0:57)

Did you plan it?

SPEAKER_1 (0:58)

Let's see if, let's give them a second.

SPEAKER_4 (1:00)

Okay, okay, all right, all right. Did they not plan it?

Don't forget our birthday.

SPEAKER_5 (1:09)

But don't you worry, we have a backup plan.

SPEAKER_4 (1:12)

So don't worry.

SPEAKER_1 (1:14)

Thankfully, we are entertaining even when really sad about it.

It's fine. It's just like, no, look, last year we were one. We couldn't really speak. I think that's what we know. Well, actually, we decided we came out the one podcasting. We could say, podcast, podcast, podcast. This year, we are two.

SPEAKER_4 (1:36)

Yeah.

SPEAKER_3 (1:36)

We could say podcast.

SPEAKER_4 (1:38)

The terrible two.

SPEAKER_5 (1:41)

We're saying podcast very loudly.

SPEAKER_1 (1:43)

We're running amok. We're saying podcast, we're saying no, we're saying conspiracy theory, and we're saying a lot of things.

SPEAKER_3 (1:50)

We're saying all the things.

SPEAKER_4 (1:51)

Yeah.

SPEAKER_3 (1:52)

And happy birthday.

SPEAKER_4 (1:54)

Happy birthday.

SPEAKER_3 (1:55)

Also, ladies, I'm 30

SPEAKER_5 (1:59)

Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_2 (2:01)

How do you feel?

SPEAKER_4 (2:01)

Legitimately my birthday. Oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_3 (2:07)

October 5th, we just got back from Nepal.

SPEAKER_2 (2:10)

Yeah, we did.

SPEAKER_3 (2:12)

Which was a riot. We'll tell you more about it later when it's, you know, when it's like not the podcast's birthday.

SPEAKER_4 (2:18)

Yeah.

SPEAKER_3 (2:19)

We'll discuss in detail of the wine things we got up to.

SPEAKER_5 (2:23)

But may I just say?

SPEAKER_4 (2:24)

You may.

SPEAKER_5 (2:25)

The wine father shirt was a hit, and that's all I'll say.

SPEAKER_3 (2:28)

Yes, I did make people wear tacky wine-saving shirts, but you know, it's what if you want to do.

And also, happy Canadian Thanksgiving. So Miss Prairie commented on a Spotify episode of ours and said, really loved the podcast. Canadian Thanksgiving is on the second Monday in October, so it's a bit closer to autumn equinox and a good way to ease into the cozier, spookier season. And we agree, Miss Prairie.

SPEAKER_5 (2:58)

What a good way to celebrate, and happy Thanksgiving.

SPEAKER_1 (3:00)

Happy Thanksgiving, and I'm Canadian grateful for you too.

SPEAKER_5 (3:04)

I'm Canadian grateful for you too as well.

SPEAKER_1 (3:08)

And even though they didn't throw us a birthday, first of all, you can make up for that by sending us a Spotify comment, writing a review, sharing it to your friends, telling a friend about Ladies Who Lore, sending us a turkey, we're not mad.

We love you. We're actually very happy and we love you so much. And we owe all of this success to all of you.

SPEAKER_5 (3:30)

We would not be here if it wasn't for you guys.

SPEAKER_2 (3:34)

Yeah, thank you.

SPEAKER_1 (3:35)

We're endlessly Canadian grateful for you. And I knew everyone was gonna forget our birthday, so I bought presents anyway.

SPEAKER_4 (3:42)

No, really?

SPEAKER_1 (3:43)

I brought two, well, I brought one round of presents that is material, and I have one present for all of us, but mostly Jessie, that is philosophical and is going to change her life. So where do you want to start, Jessie? Happy birthday.

SPEAKER_3 (4:01)

I want the gift for all of us first.

SPEAKER_1 (4:03)

And is this really generous?

SPEAKER_3 (4:05)

Yeah, I'm Canadian generous.

SPEAKER_1 (4:08)

That's just called generous. Okay, so ladies, pick a number between one and three, please. I cannot pick the same number.

SPEAKER_2 (4:15)

Three.

SPEAKER_3 (4:16)

Two.

SPEAKER_1 (4:16)

Wow. Okay, that was so easy.

SPEAKER_5 (4:18)

Did you think it was going to be harder?

SPEAKER_2 (4:20)

Here we go.

SPEAKER_1 (4:22)

I'm so scared.

SPEAKER_4 (4:23)

I am too.

SPEAKER_1 (4:24)

Who said three?

SPEAKER_4 (4:25)

Me.

SPEAKER_1 (4:25)

Sam. Okay. Well, Satan, Sam picked you.

SPEAKER_2 (4:29)

Oh my God. Of course I did. I'm going to cry. It's a baby Sadie with orange ears, like a little plushie.

SPEAKER_1 (4:38)

That's so cute.

SPEAKER_4 (4:38)

She's going to love this. The mommy picked you.

SPEAKER_1 (4:42)

And Jessica, you picked something you already wrote an episode on.
