Welcome to No Pun intended, presented by Club Fantasy. It is time for yet another Look Inside episode. If you've not been following along with this series, we are giving each, every NFL team their own episode where we focus on the fantasy outlook heading into this 2026 season. It is time for the Houston Texans. This is a tough team to judge. They've made some adjustments, but still CJ. Stroud. And the question is, do we think he can be anything like the quarterback we saw this rookie year? Let's get into it.
Welcome to No Pun, 10 to 100% about Club Fantasy. Ryan Weiss in the host seat for another Look Inside episode. Josh Hudson, we're ready to talk Houston Texans.

**Josh Hudson** (1:04)
Yeah, this is gonna be an interesting team. They made a change at offensive play caller ahead of last season. Nothing's changing except starting running back.

**Ryan Weiss** (1:14)
Yeah.

**Josh Hudson** (1:14)
But this is a team that hasn't run the football very well for multiple offensive coordinators, so it's gonna be interesting.

**Ryan Weiss** (1:20)
And it's not like they brought in the most explosive running back, so I don't know how much that's going to change.
As Josh said, not a lot changing for Houston. They went 12-5 last year. They did make the playoffs. D'Amico Ryan comes back as the head coach. Nick Kaley comes back as the play caller. I'm going to give you the Houston offensive starters for Fantasy, along with their ADP in the time we're recording this episode, which is late July.
CJ. Stroud is their quarterback. He is going off boards as the QB 24 The Fantasy community has given up on CJ. Stroud. RB 1 is David Montgomery coming over from Detroit. He's the RB 20 in Fantasy. What he marks the rookie from last year is RB 45
Jwar Jordan, who has been more of a special teams contributor, RB 93 At wide receiver, you have Nico Collins going off boards as the wide receiver nine currently. Then one of last year's rookies, Jayden Higgins, going off as the wide receiver 53 The other of last year's rookies, Jalen Noel is the wide receiver 84 And do you remember Tank Dell? He should be back this season. The fantasy community seems to like him at least better than Jalen Noel. He's going off as the wide receiver 78 Dalton Schultz, who has been a decent part of this offense, and apparently everyone sees him being replaced this year, tight end 23 Josh, overall, when you look at these rankings, other than Nico Collins, who we're going to talk about in a moment, not a lot of faith in this offense from the fantasy community.

**Josh Hudson** (2:34)
Yeah, I mean, it's kind of a blah offense, to be honest.
You know, CJ. Stroud came in pretty promising after a solid rookie year. I still remember when he shot up dynasty rankings. QB3.

**Ryan Weiss** (2:46)
He got to QB1 on boards. I'm not going to lie. Yeah, a week or two on my own.

**Josh Hudson** (2:50)
That's just like, yeah, woof. Especially for a quarterback that doesn't run, like that's crazy. Yeah, mistakes are made. Yeah, it's, yeah, mistakes are made. I just wish I could have bailed on him when I had, when I tried. Like, I kept trying to trade for, you know, other players, but people just were not biting. And I'm like, what, why is the internet telling me that he's good, but my league telling me he still sucks? That's where I'm just like, fuck.

**Ryan Weiss** (3:14)
Quick dynasty story just to show people why you don't get excited or unhappy about a class too early. I had a draft, Josh, in the league that you and I are in together where I have a terrible team and I had the one in the three. I don't even know how I pulled this off, but I had the one in the three. I needed quarterback help. So my idea was I'm going to take the one I like them. Oh no, I apologize. I had the two in the four. There was a gap. I had the two in the four because it was whoever the good running back was that year, Bichon Robinson or somebody went one. But I was like, I'm going to take the one I need to have and then I'm going to let the other one fall to me. The one I needed to have because of that great rushing upside was Anthony Richardson. So yay.
And then that guy takes CJ. Stroud and I get stuck with Bryce Young, a player who I've been defending for many, many years for some idiotic reason.
