This is something we started a few years ago where we are breaking down each and every NFL team with their own fantasy football episodes. Today, we are looking at the Detroit Lions. This is an offense that has been great for fantasy, but they keep changing offensive coordinators. Is it going to keep working? We'll tell you. Let's get into it.
Welcome to No Punt Intended, presented by Club Fantasy. It is another Look Inside. We are here to take a look at the Detroit Lions. I am your host, Ryan Weiss, with me as always, my fellow ranker, Josh Hudson. Josh, finally starting to get into the good teams.

**Josh Hudson** (1:05)
I mean, are the Lions a good team?

**Ryan Weiss** (1:08)
No offense to the first 16 teams, but I guess-

**Josh Hudson** (1:10)
I mean, they finished last in their division last year, so.

**Ryan Weiss** (1:13)
One more game and they've lost. And that is the first time we can say that in the series this season.

**Josh Hudson** (1:18)
That is fair, that is fair.

**Ryan Weiss** (1:21)
When you look at it, of course, they made no change at head coach. Dan Campbell, I think, is going to be a Detroit Lion for as long as he wants to be. I think we're probably talking about John Harnbarl, Mike Tomlin tenure. He can be there for 20 years if he wants. But after they lost Ben Johnson, they changed offensive coordinators and then that didn't work out. So they have to bring in another.

**Josh Hudson** (1:39)
Who called that?

**Ryan Weiss** (1:40)
Yeah, exactly.
And then they had to bring in another. And you're not going to be thrilled by the name. It's Drew Petzing, who was the offensive coordinator play caller from Arizona, over the last three seasons. And to say he's been infuriating is an understatement. How is it going to work in this very, very good offense of the Detroit Lions? We're going to talk about the projected starters here. I'm going to give you their ADP as of the end of June for each player from underdog. We always use best ball ADP because players have money in the game. So it tends to be a more realistic ADP than if we just pick from like a fantasy website right now. QB1 is Jared Goff going off boards as QB16.
RB1 is Jahmyr Gibbs. Guess what? He's your RB1 in fantasy right now too.
David Montgomery is no longer here. They brought in Isaiah Pacheco. He is the RB46 in fantasy. And Sion Vachy is the backup. Very good special teams player, not much of a running back, but he is the third string right now. He does not currently have a ADP in fantasy football. Wide receiver one is Amon-Ra St. Brown. He is the wide receiver four in fantasy. Jameson Williams at wide receiver two is the wide receiver 25 Isaac Tesla is the wide receiver 70 And then they brought in Greg Dortch, who did play with Petzing last year. He is the wide receiver 132 in fantasy. And Sam LaPorta, hopefully healthy, returns as the tight end. He is the tight end six in fantasy. Josh, before we get to the two players we want to talk about, let's talk about this offense as a whole. Because when it was Ben Johnson's offense, there were no questions to be asked. There were some questions last year, and there's more questions this year when it comes to Jared Goff and his teammates.

**Josh Hudson** (3:13)
Yeah, I think the only person that truly is going to miss Johnny Morton is Amon-Ra St. Brown, because he had a career year in Targets and Targets Share.
But, yeah, I mean, look, this offense worries me, and it's not because of the players. We know how good these guys are. It's the play caller, plain and simple. Like, Drew Petzing, not great. And I said the exact same thing last year about Johnny Morton, and he got replaced midway through the season. So, call it a gut feeling, call it intuition, call it what you want, but if Dan Campbell misses on another offensive coordinator, he might not have as long as Alicia as a head coach, as many people might think.

**Ryan Weiss** (3:53)
As Ryan just said, that he could be here for 20 years.

**Josh Hudson** (3:57)
I mean, look, at the end of the day, he still doesn't want anything, you know. Tomlin and Harbaugh, they won the Super Bowl. So, that's very true.
But no, look, Amon-Ra St. Brown's gonna get his, whether it's 140 targets, 170 targets, he's gonna be the guy.
