The Pittsburgh Steelers are entering a new era in 2026. After nearly two decades under Mike Tomlin, Mike McCarthy takes over as head coach, bringing his West Coast offense to Pittsburgh and reuniting with Aaron Rodgers. But can the 43-year-old quarterback still produce for fantasy football managers?

Welcome to No Putt Intended, presented by Club Fantasy. It is time for another one of our Look Inside episodes. All summer long, we are breaking down each and every NFL team, 32 episodes for 32 teams from a fantasy standpoint. And as we are getting closer to the end of this series, we have hit a team that I really thought I was going to hate, The Pittsburgh Steelers. Not a big fan of Aaron Rodgers, but it turns out the fantasy community hates them even more than I do. And I believe, and I'm gonna see if Josh agrees with me here, this may have created one of the best values in fantasy football from top of the roster to bottom of the roster. Let's get into it.
The show is up, it's no pun intended, presented by Club Fantasy, and it is our Look Inside series. I think this is our fifth or sixth year doing this as a series, but it's our second year doing where everybody gets their own little episode. And Josh, we are on to the Pittsburgh Steelers. I'm Ryan, he's Josh. We're the hosts for this because we're doing projections right now.
So welcome, hit that subscribe button. Josh, Pittsburgh.

**Josh** (1:25)
Yeah, this is a pretty underrated team for fantasy. I have to agree with you on that from the intro.

**Ryan** (1:30)
Yeah, I was taken aback, honestly.

**Josh** (1:33)
Yeah, I mean, I think people are just kind of have like Arthur Smith hangover, but also like Mike McCarthy is not a sexy play caller anymore.

**Ryan** (1:41)
Yeah.

**Josh** (1:41)
You know, he's on the older side. He's over 60

**Ryan** (1:44)
It's fair.

**Josh** (1:44)
You know, it's kind of a homecoming for him. So it's probably his last for raw, his last chance as the head coach.

**Ryan** (1:50)
But we've gone too far.

**Josh** (1:52)
You know what? Yeah, that's the long and short of it. That's the too long, didn't read version. Yeah, let's get into it.

**Ryan** (1:58)
Ten and seven last year, but for the first time in 20-something years or 19 years, the Pittsburgh Steelers have a new head coach. Mike Tomlin, no longer there. Mike McCarthy takes over the role. McCarthy will be the play caller for this offense. I'm going to break down the entire offense for you along with their ADP. The ADP will be from Underdog based on early July ADP. And then Josh and I will talk about some of our favorite players from the offense. QB1 is Aaron Rodgers, going off the board is QB28.
RB1 is Jaylen Warren, going off the board is RB28. I mentioned this in a previous episode. A lot of quarterbacks and running backs going at the exact same time in the draft. Rico Dowdle comes in to be the RB2, he's going off boards as the RB32. Caleb Johnson, the fumbled away rookie RB85. You move over to wide receiver, DK Metcalf was brought in last year going off boards as the wide receiver 37 Michael Pittman comes in from Indianapolis going off as a wide receiver 47 Rookie Jeremy Bernard coming in, he is going off as the wide receiver 74 Roman Wilson, a rookie from two years ago, I believe, wide receiver 134 And Pat Freiermuth at the wide receiver, or excuse me, tight end 29, tight end starter for the Steelers, tight end 29 And Josh, I just want to reiterate what we're talking about here and then we'll talk a little bit about this offense.
Aaron Rodgers, QB28, Jaylen Warren, RB28, DK Metcalf, our wide receiver 37, Michael Pittman, wide receiver 47, Pat Freiermuth, tight end 29
None of the starters on this team, Josh, are being drafted as starters in fantasy football. And putting it bluntly, I think all five of the names I just mentioned, maybe not Aaron Rodgers, should be drafted as starters in fantasy football.

**Josh** (3:40)
I was going to say, if I, tight end 29, I'm going to have a lot of Pat Freiermuth this season.
I mean, the biggest takeaway that I get when I look at just a Mike McCarthy offense, okay? I'm going to read you plays per game, starting his last year in Dallas, going all the way back to 2016 with Green Bay.

**Ryan** (4:02)
Yep.

**Josh** (4:04)
65, 66, 65 and a half, 67.8, 69.6, 64, 62.4, 64.3.

**Ryan** (4:18)
It's incredible.

**Josh** (4:19)
If you're talking about that many plays per game, why in God's name are we devaluing these people in fantasy football?

**Ryan** (4:27)
Yeah.

**Josh** (4:27)
Because they're going to be on the field. They're going to see opportunities. The only reason that I can fathom why the ADPs are so low is because everybody is just tired of Aaron Rodgers and they want them to go to the pasture. That's it.
