Welcome to No Plot Intended, presented by Club Fantasy. It is time for yet another of our Look Inside series. All summer long, we have been breaking down each and every NFL team. We're just past the halfway point. We still have plenty of teams to go, and we are finally talking about the teams with an above 500 record, but there's still some things to be worried about with Minnesota Vikings, namely the quarterback. Do you trust Kyler Murray? We certainly don't trust JJ McCarthy. Let's see how we feel about them for all of fantasy football. Let's get into it.
Welcome to No Pun Intended, presented by Club Fantasy. Ryan Weiss back in the host seat for another Look Inside episode. Josh, it is time to talk about the Minnesota Vikings. Should have been a really interesting episode, but I don't know, man. There's a lot to worry about with this team.

**Josh** (1:11)
Yeah, I mean, anytime there's quarterback questions, this is the same thing when we talked about the Atlanta Falcons. Like, you see the upside, but it's probably gonna have a wrench thrown into it because you don't know how many games you're actually going to get out of the veteran starter versus the rookie or younger quarterback that's getting pushed aside.

**Ryan Weiss** (1:29)
I love that you brought up the Falcons. Josh, I don't know how you're the first one opening my eyes to that. Last year, I said we should be treating Michael Pennex and JJ McCarthy as the same player. And then they kind of went and did the same thing all season long. And now they're in the exact same situation again. So if you don't feel like listening to this Minnesota Vikings episode, just go listen to our Atlanta Falcons episode. It's probably going to be the exact same story, but I assure you, it will be a fun one. The Minnesota Vikings did finish last season nine and eight. They returned everything. Kevin O'Connell is back. Kevin O'Connell is the play caller.
It's the same offense for the most part. As we do, we will break down the starting offense, and then we'll talk about some of the players we feel we need to discuss in this episode. I will be giving you their underdog ADP. That is the ADP as of June 25th. Right here at the end of June is when we were recording this episode. However, it is best ball ADP. It's not going to change much by the time we get to August. I'm going to be perfectly honest with you, unless any crazy injuries happen. This is pretty accurate even this early in June. Kyler Murray, currently the QB1. He's going off boards as the QB17 in fantasy. JJ McCarthy is the QB2. He is the QB37, so he does have an ADP, which is not what you want to see when you're a fantasy drafter. Aaron Jones is the RB1 right now. He is the RB39 in fantasy. Jordan Mason right behind him, RB41. They did add a rookie Demond Claiborne. He is the RB66, basically free towards the end of fantasy drafts. Wide receiver one is a name you've heard before, Justin Jefferson. Going off boards is the wide receiver six in fantasy. Jordan Addison is playing behind him, wide receiver 41 Jawan Jennings is the wide receiver 61 He came over from San Francisco in free agency. TJ Hockinson, the mighty has fallen a lot.
He is the tight end 22 in fantasy right now.
Josh Hockinson is just not a guy that anybody cares about anymore.

**Josh** (3:18)
I mean, everybody was drafting him as a tight end five last year, and I said, pump the brakes on that one.

**Ryan Weiss** (3:24)
Yeah.

**Josh** (3:25)
And yeah, he fell off the cliff real quick.

**Ryan Weiss** (3:28)
Josh, I'm going to get your quick thoughts on this offense. But I saw that you starred Kyler Murray. And I think our quick thoughts on this offense are about who the hell the quarterback is going to be. But for fantasy purposes, Kevin O'Connell has earned some trust. And so I think we need to remember that as we go into this offense.

**Josh** (3:44)
Yeah, I mean, I think the biggest thing is how reliable is the running game going to be because throughout his time in Minnesota, it's been really hit or miss.

**Ryan Weiss** (3:52)
Yeah.

**Josh** (3:52)
And, you know, two years ago, Aaron Jones had like a resurgence in his age 30 season. 253 carries over 1100 rushing yards. And then that obviously didn't happen last year, missed five games, struggled to come back. But he's the guy that this team trusts, especially on passing down. He's very reliable out of the backfield. He's a good pass blocker. So he's going to get first crack as the starter here. But when you talk about efficiency, that belonged to Jordan Mason, 4.8 yards per carry. I think Aaron Jones was down to like 4.2 or 4.3, something along those lines.
