There is nothing better in fantasy football than drafting a running back later on, who then becomes a reliable starter for you nearly every week. That's what today's show is all about. What we did, we took the redraft ADPs from all your home leagues and then compared them to our own rankings to tell you who we are much higher on than the market, than the public. There's some great names here. Jadarian Price, Bill Kroski Merritt, I won't name them all. Stay tuned. I want all of you to take a moment, close your eyes, and think of the best sporting event that you've ever attended. That instead of just sitting on your couch, watching on television, you actually went to the game. For me, I was in college. Steph Curry Davidson was playing the NCAA tournament against Georgetown in Raleigh. It was like Patrick Ewing Jr., all these like 6'11 guys versus Steph Curry and these 6'7 dudes. And I was like, I have to go see this. I have to go see the guy that is launching shots from half court, even if they have no chance to win. And guess what? They won. And it was so much better because I was actually there versus sitting at home. And you can be there in the action by using Game Time. College football is coming up, NFL preseason to watch your favorite rookies. It's all available here on Game Time. And it's not just that. Like I am scrolling to see what is available this weekend in my area.
I can go see Hilary Duff if I want to or the Dirty Govnas. I mean, whatever you want, it's here on Game Time. Get your friends together, get your tickets and tell them it's Game Time. Download, yes, the Game Time app. Create an account and use code fantasy for $20 off your first purchase. Terms apply, again, create an account and redeem the code F-A-N-T-A-S-Y for $20 off. Yesterday, we talked through eight wide receivers that your fantasy league is drafting shockingly wrong. Today, we got six running backs for you. How we did this?
We aggregated, compiled all of the redraft sites, compared it, patched it into one number, and then we look at our own rankings. Hayden, once again, it's our job to tell you why we are smarter than all the platforms that millions and millions of people draft off of.
**Hayden Winks** (2:12)
Yeah, sometimes higher, sometimes lower, sometimes correct. Unfortunately, also sometimes incorrect. But today, I'm starting to feel it. We're getting some injuries in the news, and that's where these rankings discussions, it's okay, you liked them a little bit. Now, you better like them a lot, because they're going to be up in about round 5, round 6 now.
**Josh Norris** (2:29)
I think injuries are going to make their mark on the running backs this August and early September much more than the rookies are. Let's put it that way. I think this is a difficult year to find major running back ranking discrepancies because of the, let's say, lack of running back class that just entered the NFL, because typically those guys are undervalued, we can rank them and draft them a little bit earlier. I do want to say, the headliner from this group that we spent a lot of time on earlier this summer, so we won't do it here, has been Ken Walker III for us. I mean, he's the composite in all your redraft leagues running back 11 for us. He's our running back six.
Why do we love K9 so much this year?
**Hayden Winks** (3:06)
Just history of Andy Reid, Shady McCoy comes to mind for me, Kenneth Walker. I think it does a pretty good Shady McCoy impression. They gave him a bunch of money and they have a good offensive line, something that Kenneth Walker has never had before. This has been a high success rate rushing offense.
That's a credit to the offensive line and to the scheme and having Patrick Mahomes be a threat. They have not been an explosive one. That's why you add the Super Bowl MVP.
**Josh Norris** (3:31)
Yeah. They ranked 10th in yards before contact last year. The Kinsey Chiefs did, but 32nd in rush yards after contact per attempt. As a whole, the Chiefs were 20th in explosive carries last season. They learned and they showed that efficiency and success rate can only take you so far.
Getting the explosive plays, especially when the coverages are playing Patrimon Holmes' passing attack, getting that to the rushing game is more and more important than ever. Hayden, I think what we've seen through beat writers and clips is maybe more under center work from Patrimon Holmes this preseason, and that's just going to lead to better rushing angles and ways to attack with Ken Walker who was the only big addition to this offense this entire offseason. Okay.
