All right, how's it going, everybody? Thank you for stopping by. Today is Saturday, October 10, and Scott North and I, Scott North of Commode Capital and I, are here to talk about what happened in Junior Mining this week. I'm gonna run through the top three best and the top three worst performers on the Canadian stock exchanges, and Scott's gonna do the same for the ASX. As always, these are not stock picks. We haven't selected those specifically to talk about them. We're not gonna be doing a full analysis on them, nor are we here to provide any conclusions. This is literally just a quick overview of the best and the worst performers of the past week. We're doing a few parameters, so I'm looking at stuff that's more than $20 million in market cap, and it's done more than $50,000 worth of volume. You can play around with those parameters yourself for free on mininghub.com. They are the sponsor of this week's video, and they're the ones making it possible with the underlying technology that we're gonna be using in this video.
With that out of the way, Scott, you told me you're a little sick, so I don't think you have a joke from me, do you?
Scott North (1:01)
No, no joke this week, mate.
Not a happy place this morning, but we're here. We've turned up to make it happen, but do you have anything for me?
Antonio (1:11)
What's the difference between Junior Mining Stocks and the lottery?
Scott North (1:17)
I would say nothing.
Antonio (1:18)
That's probably the right answer, really. My answer, though, is that the lottery is not gonna issue 40 million more tickets after you buy yours. I would typically do it before Junior Mining, the other way around, unfortunately.
Jokes aside, it's actually a decent week in the metals this week, but mining still seems to be suffering some PTSD. While we had gold, silver, and copper, they were all up this week. Not a lot, but at least a little bit of positivity. The underlying indices, so you have the GDXJ, the SILJ, the GDX, SILJ, Cobb J, Cobb X itself. So they were all flat to slightly down. You had Cobb J was even down 2% this week. So yeah, metals positive, metal stocks not so positive. Decent moves in the juniors though, with the best performer being Decade Resources here over in Canada, which closed the week 50% higher. Decade is a golden copper explorer with its flagship Bonaparte Project making noise this week. Close to the time of Stewart in British Columbia that is, where they reported that every hole that they drilled had reached bedrock or every one of the holes that had reached bedrock had intersected porphyry style rocks across what they think is a potentially more than a two kilometer wide system, though no assays yet. Second best was actually Anor Attack. I've talked about that in previous episodes. I'm going to skip it and I'll say why as well here in a minute too. The second best that I will cover though was Radius Gold, their newest flagship is the Tierra Roja Copper Project in Peru. This week they received the permits that will allow them to finally start drilling. That pushed the stock up almost 40% this week. Then the third best was Grid Metals. It's a lithium explorer with a project in Manitoba. They're a 33% project.
The project is moving along, essentially, that's what the news was. They've hired a consultant to help with the mine planning, site design, infrastructure work and preparation for an environmental act license application as they're pushing in the project toward development. Again, the market clearly liked what's happening. They're pushing the stock up over 33%. I also do have an honorable mention. I'm not going to be covering it here in depth because it technically didn't make the list, but Aldebaran Resources is up over 30% this week, is the fourth best, technically the fifth but fourth from what I'll cover. They own one of the biggest undeveloped copper projects in the world. They had a spectacular drill hole this week, pushing the stock up again, 31%.
That's it for the best performance in Canada. Scott, what's moving in Oz?
Scott North (3:53)
On the Aldebaran one, it was, correct me if I'm wrong, I think it was a 1700 meter hole. Absolutely ridiculous.
Antonio (4:00)
I'm a little disappointed they didn't make the top three. But yeah, I've interviewed them many, many times before and I'll probably interview them again in the future. But yeah, it's almost two kilometers of mineralization down.
Scott North (4:12)
You don't say that every day. All right, ASX this week, the top gainer of the week is Alvo Minerals. ALV is the ticker up 242 percent. Out on news that they had some diamond drill results back from their project in Brazil and concurrently did a one million dollar raise.
