I think there was a bit of a rebellious spirit in there, to kind of remove myself from the six years of this mall where I grew up in. I didn't necessarily recognize myself. I don't consider myself an artist, but I think you can give me something and I'll easily, I guess, imagine a world around it.
**Adrien Garcia** (0:15)
How do you work with a talent ? How do you approach each new case ?
**Anna Caradeuc** (0:18)
I've spent a lot of time with artists and I've seen what creating looks like and it's not. You don't just wake up and the ideas come to you because you're sitting at your desk.
**Adrien Garcia** (0:28)
I can ask you what the success means to you.
**Natalie Weinberger** (0:31)
Is it money ?
**Anna Caradeuc** (0:32)
I firmly believe that you should only show work when you're ready to show work. It was a bit of a fake it till you make it scenario. So all of a sudden I had to make decisions on behalf of well-established design studios. Now you have to convince people that they should pay attention in a world that's so saturated with information and content, especially a place like New York where so many things are happening all the time.
**Adrien Garcia** (0:55)
What is so crazy about New York ? Why is it so intense for all those little Parisians who are watching us ?
**Anna Caradeuc** (1:02)
Many people have a love-hate relationship but any time I fly back into JFK I'm like ugh, I'm home again. No, but did it make me happy ? Yes. They see the value of someone who is working on their own in Bushwick making their work because they have a very unique vision.
**Adrien Garcia** (1:20)
Yeah, if you want to have a professional life you cannot have a personal life, right ?
Hello everybody. Thank you for listening to the Bold Way today. Today I'm with, we are doing a very special episode actually. I'm laughing because we are just in front of a nightclub. This is like 11 in the morning and people are getting out of a nightclub. It's like a bit of crazy. We are in Brooklyn with Anna Caradeuc and this is a very special episode because this is What's Hot in New York in Design with Anna Caradeuc. Hello Anna, how are you ?
**Anna Caradeuc** (1:56)
Hello Adrien, I'm great. How are you ?
**Adrien Garcia** (1:58)
I'm very good. Thank you very much for bringing us here inside the true New York.
**Anna Caradeuc** (2:04)
The true New York. People are still dancing on the street actually. It's amazing.
**Adrien Garcia** (2:09)
So to begin with, to put a bit of context, where we are, who you are, and to push them to stay here until the end of this episode, that's going to be amazing. Please stay with us.
What are we going to learn today ?
**Anna Caradeuc** (2:25)
So we are in Brooklyn, we're between Bushwick and Williamsburg. And we are at the footsteps of a very large industrial building that's been here for decades, where I will take you through a few studios of friends and designers that I thought would illustrate that New York spirit, creative New York spirit. And I guess to introduce myself, I'm a creative consultant and I've been working in design for about 10 years.
I advise clients on their brand strategy.
**Adrien Garcia** (3:27)
Je déteste la France, elle est d'accord.
**Anna Caradeuc** (3:30)
Alright.
**Adrien Garcia** (3:31)
Alright.
Perfect. we got it. And what are we going to learn today ?
**Anna Caradeuc** (3:35)
Well, we're going to learn a little bit about an unconventional path of someone who's always followed passion and intuition into, you know, helping others develop their careers.
**Adrien Garcia** (3:51)
This episode you're watching or listening to was filmed in New York City. This New York chapter of Bold Way was made possible by my partner, La Compagnie. I had the chance to fly with them on the Paris New York route and honestly, it completely changes the way you travel. It's a 100% business class experience, much more intimate, much more comfortable, designed so you arrive rested and in great shape. What I particularly loved was how seamless the whole experience is. Lounge access before the flight, fast boarding, high-speed Wi-Fi the whole way, seats that turn into real beds. You can really work, sleep or just enjoy the flight. And even on board, everything is thought out in detail. The food is made with chefs, the menus change with the season and honestly, I've never eaten so well on a plane. In fact, La Compagnie is the official airline of the French national soccer team for the World Cup in the US. That's saying something. And since you guys are life's athletes too, treat yourselves to athlete level conditions. To find out more, go to lacompagnie.com and thanks again to La Compagnie for making this series possible. So we are now with Natalie Weinberger.
