**Georgia Hardstark** (0:18)
And welcome.
**Karen Kilgariff** (0:18)
To My Favorite Murder.
**Georgia Hardstark** (0:20)
That's Georgia Hardstark.
**Karen Kilgariff** (0:20)
That's Karen Kilgariff.
**Georgia Hardstark** (0:22)
And we're just casually podcasting for your entertainment.
**Karen Kilgariff** (0:25)
Can you see that I have a nap crease in my face?
**Georgia Hardstark** (0:29)
In the face?
**Karen Kilgariff** (0:30)
As I'm podcasting on Netflix.
**Georgia Hardstark** (0:32)
Is it a vertical or horizontal?
**Karen Kilgariff** (0:34)
It's, what's that way? Horizontal. Thank you.
**Georgia Hardstark** (0:36)
Like the horizon.
**Karen Kilgariff** (0:37)
Like the horizon.
**Georgia Hardstark** (0:38)
It's as wide as the horizon across your cheek.
**Karen Kilgariff** (0:41)
That's how together my shit is. Is that I just show up with a fucking nap crease.
**Georgia Hardstark** (0:47)
I mean, I was literally at Sephora seven minutes before this show started, in a kind of wild attempt to like, maybe this will help. Maybe this lipstick will solve it.
**Karen Kilgariff** (0:59)
Absolutely.
**Georgia Hardstark** (1:00)
And I feel like I need to just say a public, generalized apology to people who work at Sephora.
I couldn't be ruder. Really? I don't want to be rude at all.
I want to look at lipstick. I want to touch foundation. I want to see all the new things that all my friends on the internet talk about. And I want to interact with them.
And I don't want to interact with anybody else.
**Karen Kilgariff** (1:23)
How come though, when you need help, you can't find anybody? Is this a stand up routine?
**Georgia Hardstark** (1:27)
This is the funniest stand up routine we've ever written on this show.
**Karen Kilgariff** (1:31)
But then when you ask them for help, then they use their brushes on you. And I don't want your brushes on my face.
**Georgia Hardstark** (1:36)
You've got to find the person that works there. And for me, it's usually the woman that's closer to my age.
**Karen Kilgariff** (1:41)
The oldest woman, yeah, for sure.
**Georgia Hardstark** (1:42)
Completely. And she's always kind of looking at me like, almost afraid to say, still don't need help. But if I do, absolutely that's the person I'm going to. Where it's like, hey, help me fix this, this, and that.
**Karen Kilgariff** (1:55)
It's like when you see those videos of influencers going, tips that made me look as good as I did in my 20s, in my 30s. And you're like, it's fucking collagen, bitch. And you, it's not.
**Georgia Hardstark** (2:06)
There's no tip.
**Karen Kilgariff** (2:07)
You're not special yet.
**Georgia Hardstark** (2:08)
No, you haven't hacked anything.
**Karen Kilgariff** (2:10)
Tell me when you're 59
**Georgia Hardstark** (2:11)
You hacked chronological age.
**Karen Kilgariff** (2:13)
Exactly.
**Georgia Hardstark** (2:14)
You're just doing, it's the thing like when I used to love to mouth off about in my 30s, of like, I would never get plastic surgery. And it's like, correct, 30 year old, you would never get plastic surgery. Just wait till 55 year old you shows up.
**Karen Kilgariff** (2:27)
Sure. And in fact, I wish I had gotten it in my 30s, so I could have all that time to look fucking great.
**Georgia Hardstark** (2:32)
The POV that you have at any time in life is simply just the information you've gotten up until that point.
**Karen Kilgariff** (2:39)
Hundred percent. Because I know there's some chick who in her 60s going to be, shut the fuck up at 46, talking about your Botox.
**Georgia Hardstark** (2:45)
Yes, always.
**Karen Kilgariff** (2:46)
So I will.
**Georgia Hardstark** (2:47)
So we will shut up. And this will be our silent true crime podcast for the rest.
**Karen Kilgariff** (2:53)
You know, what is maybe going to help me is 55 days without alcohol. Really? With my beauty treatment.
**Georgia Hardstark** (2:59)
I mean, for real. Your skin is glowing.
**Karen Kilgariff** (3:01)
Thank you.
**Georgia Hardstark** (3:01)
You really can't see it. How does it feel?
**Karen Kilgariff** (3:04)
Great. It's good. It's I feel I have less anxiety. As my therapist told me for the past 10 years, I would. Less anxiety, depression is the same. But that's just me. Well, it's a slow build.
It's nothing.
**Georgia Hardstark** (3:18)
If it worked immediately, everyone would do it.
**Karen Kilgariff** (3:20)
Totally. Totally.
**Georgia Hardstark** (3:22)
Well, that's an adventure.
**Karen Kilgariff** (3:23)
That's like something new. Yeah. It does feel like I'm actually excited for the 60 days and the 90 days and the year.
Knock wood. What about you? What's up?
**Georgia Hardstark** (3:33)
That's nice. Me, I'm just tracking your sobriety.
**Karen Kilgariff** (3:38)
You've got an app. Track your friend's sobriety.
**Georgia Hardstark** (3:40)
I don't know. I don't know about her today.
