It's like a chopped and twisted, I mean, it's like a, like a warbly, evil sounding version of the Discord notification.

Yeah, I've had streamer mode on since 2017, so I never hear, yeah, I don't, look, this is why maybe Discord isn't the best way to send me a message if you need a quick response.

Can you tweak individual settings in streamer mode? Cause normally, by default, it does the thing where it truncates everybody's username. So you can't read it, I assume you can at least turn that off.

That stuff's all off. Yeah, so I just have it off cause I don't want notifications sounds ever. I like, I don't like notification sounds, it turns out.

Oh, well, I guess that doesn't help with DMs, but I mute every Discord server I join the second I join it permanently.

There are a handful of Discord servers that get to send me notifications, ones that mostly like are like me and three other friends hanging out in, or the one with my daughter gets to send notifications.

But then I have my system level notifications for Discord DMs, they snap and they stay up so they don't go away.

They stay in the bar forever.

Yep. Same. Same. Apologies to all the people whose messages are sitting unread in my bar that I haven't had time to get to yet. It's been a week.

Yeah, you've had a little bit of a drain. So are people upset about it again, or is it just like, oh, God, they've done the thing?

I haven't seen anybody complain about it. I just heard it yesterday for the first time, and it messes with you because it's enough like the regular Discord sound that you think you recognize it, but you also don't.

I remember this last year me thinking that something was wrong with my computer.

Yes, that's actually exactly what it is. It sounds like something is broken in your sound output because it sounds like the original sound with some bad, again, evil sound process.

So good news is they have a check mark for Enable Halloween Sound Pack in the notification sound settings.

Yeah, weird. You can just turn that off.

Yes, I've been using the Booz Hound ability or trait icon from the first Bioshock as an avatar for many years.

It's funny, if I loaded up Bioshock and played that, I would think, oh, that's Brad's avatar. I would not think that's the Booz Hound at this point.
