Welcome to the live stream. My name is Teemu Arina from Biacar Center, one of the co-authors of Biacar's Handbook. And today we got some exciting new announcement to make, which is all about the new Groundbreaking Longevity Anti-Aging Test Kit that we have helped to bring to the market. It is truly a breakthrough because at-home testing has not been very easy if you want to measure your nutrition, if you want to measure your hormones, all the different biomarkers that are related to longevity.
Also, the different specific biomarkers related to longevity optimization.
For example, the markers related to the reactive oxygen species or NAD levels and so on. So with me today on the show, I have Siim Land, who is a specialist on longevity optimization.
He is a best-selling author. He has written books like Metabolic Autophagy, Stronger by Stress, Immunity Fix, Mineral Fix, Wynn, and Sirkenia NAD+, just to mention a few. He's a popular YouTuber. Check out his YouTube channel, Siim Land. And he has also been several times a speaker at the Biohacker Summit Conference that we organize in Amsterdam. And you all, by the way, are most welcome, 14th and 15th of October in Amsterdam. So check out bikersummit.com. But yeah, today we will discuss not just the BioStark's Longevity Anti-Aging Kit, but also nutrition, lifestyle changes, et cetera, related to optimizing your longevity. So if you have any questions or comments, please provide them on the comments. At our best ability, we will pick up some of the comments and answer them on the live stream. So without further ado, welcome Siim Land on the stream as well.

Hey, how's it going? So I'm glad to be here. And yeah, on a short notice, but definitely exciting and excited about the test for sure.
Teemu Arina (2:54)
Oh yeah. Yeah, so one of the key things when it comes to slowing down aging and even reversing some of those aspects is the nine hallmarks of aging. So there are reasons why our skin gets wrinkled and why our hair turns gray and why our eyesight might get weaker and all these other processes. So it kind of seems like we are going into entropy, our bodies are breaking down as we age, and the whole idea of the ability to extend human lifespan, it has been kind of a myth or a utopia until the last few years when there has been significant breakthroughs in longevity research. So in laboratory environments, it's already possible to multiply the lifespan of rodents, as well as fruit flies that are genetically actually very close to us.
And humans are most likely next. Now, there is longitudinal studies done on humans, placebo-controlled meta-studies and so on, especially on nutrition related to calorie restriction. So in humans, the most effective way to slow down the aging process seems to be restricting calories. But there is many, many, many other mechanisms that are extremely promising in studies. Work on animals have very good studies on human cells, on petri dishes, and some limited human studies as well.
And we know that inflammation, low-level inflammation, many of those mechanisms behind oxidative stress, and stress in general, can cause damage on DNA, can cause damage on our bodies on a cellular level. And I think it's very much common sense that if you live a healthy lifestyle, and you really think about the diet that you eat, and you use the best advice available, and you exercise regularly, that you will live much longer. The question then is, can we live beyond the oldest people that have lived on earth, which is somewhere around 120 years?
That remains to be seen. But I believe that the person who will live already beyond that age has already been born, for sure. So that is my guess. What is your take on this, Siim?
Siim Land (5:50)
Yeah, well, I do think that the average life expectancy is probably gonna increase, for sure, in the next two decades by maybe an additional 10 years, or 20 years, or something like that, for sure. And yeah, the people will just generally live longer. Whether or not it's gonna extend beyond the current human limit, which appears to be around 120 years, it's hard to know. Because for that, we probably have to do a lot of more cutting-edge biohacking stuff, and we probably don't know actually how to go beyond the maximum human limit right now.
It's mostly about just slowing down the aging and increasing healthspan, and increasing the average life expectancy, which goes down to just the healthy lifestyle and different kinds of interventions and supplements and testing and those things. Preventive healthcare probably is gonna be very important in terms of actually extending the life expectancy in the average person, but to get to some sort of world record-breaking numbers, someone living 150 or 160 years old, for that, we probably have to do some gene editing or CRISPR or something like that. So I don't think that there is an actual healthy lifestyle to live to 150 or something. We probably have to do some actual modifications to the human body more directly to live beyond the natural human limit.
