Hey, everybody, on today's episode, Warb and I sit down and discuss the hunt that him and Miles had at their home property. Basically, the 13 Acres podcast, it's kind of been an ongoing saga of his for the last three or four years since he bought that property. They've slowly been trying to dial it in and figure out how to hunt these deer because they're limited with the space they have and where the deer are bedding and coming from into the food that they're creating and providing. So he's doing a lot of work out there and planting like screen cover for the deer from their house to the food plots that he's making, the different types of food that he's using, clover, turnips, it's a mix of everything. So it's pretty cool.

It's been cool to sit back from afar and watch this process kind of unfold. I know me and Warb have talked at Nausium about this.

While he's been hunting together, he's been trying to figure out what to do exactly to get it as good as they can for Miles and Graham to get out there and be able to have a place to hunt near the house. So I know he's super excited about it. So we'll get right into this. This hunting season, if you're out there with your rifle and you fall and break your scope or lose your range finder or your binos, God forbid, something like that happen, you have to try to guess how far a deer is. This fall if you want to be a little more realistic walking through the woods, I know Zach's a big fan of this, Warb does it all the time, pop in a Woodhaven diaphragm turkey call when you're in the woods, do a little light yelping, clucking, sound like a flock of turkeys moving through the woods and not a herd of godzillas. So, it might help you slip up on a deer and get an opportunity that otherwise you might miss. So, we'll help you save 10% on all Woodhaven calls at their website with code THP, it's capital THP, 2026

Well, that being said, let's get into this episode.

Aaron Warbritton (2:39)

Did you and Charlie and Rach watch the Horns become victorious this last weekend?

Zach Ferenbaugh (2:45)

Yeah, that was Charlie's first game to watch.

Aaron Warbritton (2:48)

Wow.

Zach Ferenbaugh (2:49)

Because her nap times fall, it was pretty perfect. So, she was awake for the first half, and then she went down, and she might have been awake there at the end. So, she was awake at the end, because me and Rach were nervously just passing her back and forth across. We watched the games here in my office. So, we got this futon right here, and then I got a TV right here, and my dad was over. So, dad was sitting right here in a kitchen chair. I was in my office chair, and then we had the futon on game days. We lay it out flat, and we put all the toys right there and everything. So, we put everything right there, so we can sit there and all just be together and watch the game. But yeah, we watched that one. That one was pretty intense.

It wasn't as intense as the Ohio State game, but it was close because I never felt like Texas was going to lose, but they were really flirting with it there at the end.

Aaron Warbritton (3:45)

Yeah, they pulled, well, they win by three points.

Zach Ferenbaugh (3:48)

Yeah, 20 to 17 But you know, I was talking to dad about this yesterday, because I nerd out on all college football, especially the horns, and so after games, I got a numerous podcasts I listened to that are Texas podcasts. Some are just like football in general, and people would get on there and be bashing the horns on how they played, and it's doom and gloom, and I was like, well, hell, the game played out exactly how the betting market said it was going to.
