Sam Morril (0:06)

Trained by day, Joe Rogan Podcast by night, all day.

Joe Rogan (0:13)

Sammy boy, Sammy boy.

Sam Morril (0:15)

What's up, dude?

Joe Rogan (0:16)

Good to see you, brother.

Joe Rogan (0:17)

What's happening?

Sam Morril (0:17)

It's been a while. It's good to see you, Joe.

Joe Rogan (0:19)

It's been a couple years, like we were saying.

Sam Morril (0:21)

Yeah, man.

Joe Rogan (0:22)

It might... Was the club even open?

Sam Morril (0:25)

Yeah.

Joe Rogan (0:26)

Oh, yeah. Definitely. Yeah.

Yeah, so it's been like a year and a half, something like that.

Sam Morril (0:32)

Something like that. Yeah, it's good to be here.

Joe Rogan (0:34)

You rolling in on the road, just constantly out there?

Sam Morril (0:37)

I was in Europe for two and a half weeks doing gigs, and then they were like, oh, we want to drop your special second half of September. I was like, all right. So I just had to stay on the road. So yeah.

Joe Rogan (0:54)

What is it like in Europe being American? Do they look at you with the side eye?

Sam Morril (0:57)

It was weirder last year because I was single last year. I was with my friend who was single, and he thought he was cool going up to girls in Berlin. He's like, I'm from America, and they're like, fuck you.

I was like, yeah, I went open with it. I was like, let's say you're from Winnipeg or something.

Joe Rogan (1:11)

But North America.

Sam Morril (1:13)

North America, yeah.

Joe Rogan (1:14)

Don't be specific.

Sam Morril (1:15)

I'm like, if you want to get laid, say North America. But yeah, it's interesting. Everyone responds differently, but I will say I was in Copenhagen at the end, and they're selling, you're seeing the merch on the street, it's like little Trump holding a rattle. He's a baby, and it says, I want Greenland.

They're selling that in the street. So yeah, they don't like us.

Joe Rogan (1:35)

Yeah, Ron White was in Switzerland. He said there was an open hostility.

Sam Morril (1:39)

Yeah, it's tough. It's a bummer. But the crowds are good.

The crowds are great. Yeah, I mean, I was in, I went everywhere from Lisbon to just all Athens, fucking Croatia. I was in Zagreb. It's amazing. Yeah.

Joe Rogan (1:55)

How good is their English over there?

Sam Morril (1:56)

Great. They love comedy. It's like the Balkans, they like, people who are just in wars love to laugh. If you were in a civil war recently, they'll fucking laugh.

And then, yeah, they were great. And yeah, I've been to Sweden. I'd done that before, but they were great. Copenhagen.

Joe Rogan (2:13)

I did Sweden once. Sweden is, it's interesting, like Europe is interesting. They laugh really hard, then they stop. And they laugh really hard, then they stop. You don't get like, you know what I'm saying?

Sam Morril (2:21)

Milan is like, like I'll do three pitot jokes, and then they all applaud. I'm like, what is this, Carson in the 80s? Like, what the hell am I on? But yeah, Milan is like that. And they laugh hard, hard to get energy. Like you have to adjust your expectations.

Joe Rogan (2:34)

Yeah, it doesn't sustain. It's culturally, it's different. Like I went over there with Hinchcliffe, and he was like, I can't get him. I go, you're getting laughs. And he goes, yeah, but then it stops.

Sam Morril (2:43)

It's a different thing.

Joe Rogan (2:44)

You're in a different culture. They probably have to process the language, first of all.

Sam Morril (2:48)

It's weird. Yeah. And then, yes, Stockholm, the women are like the hottest women I've ever seen in my life.

Joe Rogan (2:54)

Yeah, all those Nordic women. The Vikings did well.

Sam Morril (2:57)

They did. Yeah. We don't talk about the good of pillaging, but there were some positives.

Joe Rogan (3:03)

Giant, handsome men and beautiful women.

Sam Morril (3:05)

It works. It just works.

Joe Rogan (3:08)

It's terrible initially.

Sam Morril (3:10)

Yeah, but then a couple hundred years later, you're like, not bad.

Joe Rogan (3:13)

Not bad and peaceful, somehow or another. One of the most peaceful places, which is weird.

Sam Morril (3:18)

Yeah, it is. If you're neutral, it's easy to be peaceful.

Joe Rogan (3:21)

When was the last time you heard about Iceland going and fucking people up?

Sam Morril (3:23)

Yeah.

Joe Rogan (3:24)

Did you go over there? Those were the biggest, strongest fucking people in the world, all those strongmen guys.
