Trained by day, Joe Rogan Podcast by night, all day.
**SPEAKER_4** (0:13)
We can use headphones or no, we don't need them.
**Cameron Hanes** (0:15)
Okay.
**SPEAKER_5** (0:16)
Whatever you think.
**SPEAKER_4** (0:17)
We have to wear your sweet hat. I don't wanna fuck it up.
**Cameron Hanes** (0:19)
There you go.
**SPEAKER_4** (0:19)
Just got it. Look, we got an American flag, we got a skull, we got camo, what the fuck else do you want? Are you American or not?
**Cameron Hanes** (0:26)
Look at this.
**SPEAKER_4** (0:26)
Oh, nice, dude. You're all in for 250, the 250th anniversary.
**Cameron Hanes** (0:32)
It's also the only socks I brought on this trip somehow, so I wear them every day now.
**SPEAKER_4** (0:36)
You only brought one pair or one style?
**Cameron Hanes** (0:38)
No, one pair of socks and no underwear.
**SPEAKER_4** (0:41)
Oh, God, I've done that before. We have to wash our socks in the sink with shampoo, with hotel shampoo, and then wear them when they're wet.
**Cameron Hanes** (0:48)
And this, like I went on a run here, it is muggy.
**SPEAKER_4** (0:51)
Oh, yeah, baby.
**Cameron Hanes** (0:52)
I sweated my ass off.
**SPEAKER_4** (0:53)
That's the fear of this weekend at the UFC, because it's East Coast. It gets very muggy.
**Cameron Hanes** (0:59)
Yeah, for sure.
**SPEAKER_4** (0:59)
And DC. So these guys are all working out outside right now. I saw a video of Ayman Zahabi working out outside, and Ilya Toporia is working out outside. And you know, you have to feel that that heavy, heavy air.
**Cameron Hanes** (1:13)
It changes things.
**SPEAKER_4** (1:14)
Oh, yeah, man. I remember when I was a kid, I went to the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.
**Cameron Hanes** (1:20)
I see those thunderstorms, dude.
**SPEAKER_4** (1:22)
Oh, yeah, we're fucked. There is a canopy that's over the cage. They put a canopy over the cage.
**Cameron Hanes** (1:28)
If lightning hits that, that's not good.
**SPEAKER_4** (1:30)
Well, if it hits the canopy, I think we're OK. I mean, I think I'm more worried about a terrorist attack than I am with lightning.
**Cameron Hanes** (1:37)
Oh, that's true.
**SPEAKER_4** (1:37)
But I probably should be more worried about lightning. I actually have friends that have been hit by lightning.
**Cameron Hanes** (1:42)
We do.
**SPEAKER_4** (1:43)
Remy. Remy got hit by lightning.
**Cameron Hanes** (1:44)
Yeah, for sure.
**SPEAKER_4** (1:45)
So I know.
**Cameron Hanes** (1:46)
I was full.
**SPEAKER_4** (1:47)
I don't know anybody's been hit by a terrorist attack.
**SPEAKER_5** (1:49)
Well, it's got hit the other day, I think.
**SPEAKER_4** (1:51)
By lightning?
**SPEAKER_5** (1:52)
Yeah, we had crazy storms here, you know.
**SPEAKER_4** (1:54)
You playing golf?
**SPEAKER_5** (1:55)
No, but I was outside.
**SPEAKER_4** (1:56)
Oh, thank you.
**SPEAKER_5** (1:56)
I thought the storm was over and I was out on my balcony and I was like, wow, this is cool.
**SPEAKER_4** (2:00)
Oh, that's a good spot to be.
**SPEAKER_5** (2:01)
One hit, I'm 500 feet in the sky. I'm already up there. Then it hit and I started hearing sizzling near me. I'm like, holy shit, I got to get inside.
**SPEAKER_6** (2:09)
Like electricity sizzling?
**SPEAKER_5** (2:10)
I was like, what the is that? Where is it sizzling?
**SPEAKER_6** (2:12)
Oh my God, that's so scary. That's such a fucked up way to go.
**SPEAKER_4** (2:16)
Do you ever see that one video where the guy is walking down the street and he gets hit by lightning? He wakes up, walks down the street a little bit further, he's recovering and he gets hit again.
Dude got hit by lightning twice. I don't know if it's time lapse or what. I don't know how long he was out for because it's like one of those ring cams that catches him.
**SPEAKER_6** (2:33)
This guy got fucking cooked twice.
**Cameron Hanes** (2:35)
You know you're having a bad day.
**SPEAKER_4** (2:37)
I forget what Remy said happened to him after he got hit, but I remember his hearing was fucked up for a long time or something like that.
**Cameron Hanes** (2:46)
We do the mountains back home, like Runham. We were up on Diamond Peak, me and Tanner last year. And a storm, kind of like the weather report, like having some clouds or whatever. It wasn't supposed to be thunderstorms, but you could hear kind of growling. And you're like, God, is that coming this way? And it doesn't have to be that close. I mean, I think lightning can hit from 10 miles away. Really? Yes.
It can go sideways. So anyway, if you see that building, you should get off the top of a mountain, right? Well, me and Tanner, we're up there, and we're still wanting to get to Summit and then bomb off. Well, we're up there and he goes, he goes, Dad, he goes, watch. And he had, we had trekking poles and he had them like this. And they're, they're like ticking, like electricity was in his trekking poles.
