Bitcoin is heading toward a collision. The buyers are getting bigger, the money's getting bigger, but the Bitcoin supply isn't. And the numbers being discussed right now may have sounded completely insane just a few years ago, but this is where conviction gets tested. Let's dive right in. Michael Saylor said the quiet part out loud, 200,000, he's buying, 1 million, he's buying, 4 million, still buying, 8 million, still buying, $16 million Bitcoin, and Saylor still wants more. And that tells you everything about how the largest corporate Bitcoin holder on earth views what's coming. Most investors think about what price they'll sell Bitcoin. Saylor's thinking about what price he'll keep buying Bitcoin. That difference is enormous, because Saylor isn't talking about Bitcoin like an asset that eventually becomes too expensive. He's treating it like monetary property that becomes more valuable as the world figures out what it actually is. And strategy has already backed that conviction with one of the most aggressive accumulation campaigns in financial history, 847,666 Bitcoin, more than 4% of the entire 21 million supply. And Saylor is still signaling that he wants more. Today, he posted three words, more orange than ever. And I'm pretty sure that's four words, but you get the gist. That doesn't confirm another purchase, but after years of watching Saylor telegraph his Bitcoin moves, you know exactly why the market pays attention when the orange dots start appearing again. And Saylor isn't the only one stacking. Wall Street's absorbing Bitcoin through their ETFs. Public companies are building Bitcoin treasuries. Strive now holds 27,462 BTC and is also signaling amplified Bitcoin. Governments are discussing Bitcoin reserves and Binance founder CZ says he's talking with dozens of governments about Bitcoin and crypto adoption. Think about where this is heading. The buyers are getting bigger, the balance sheets are getting bigger, and the pools of capital entering Bitcoin are getting bigger. But the number of Bitcoin they're competing for never gets bigger than 21 million. That's the collision. Because every institution entering this market eventually discovers the same problem. They can print dollars, they can issue debt, they can raise capital, they can create ETFs, they can build entire financial products around Bitcoin, but they cannot create another Bitcoin. And the higher Bitcoin climbs, the more valuable the existing supply becomes. At $200,000 Bitcoin, corporations will still want it. At a million dollar Bitcoin, sovereign wealth funds aren't suddenly going to decide scarcity stopped mattering. And at multi-million dollar Bitcoin, the largest pools of capital on earth could be competing over fractions of coins that early holders once accumulated for hundreds or thousands of dollars. That is the part most people struggle to comprehend. A higher Bitcoin price doesn't necessarily destroy institutional demand. It can validate the asset. Bitcoin at $16 million would represent a monetary network worth hundreds of trillions of dollars on a fully diluted basis. That sounds completely insane from where Bitcoin trades today. So did $100,000 Bitcoin when Bitcoin was trading for just a dollar. So did Wall Street pouring billions into Bitcoin ETFs when it once wanted nothing to do with it. So did a publicly traded company owning hundreds of thousands of Bitcoin. Until it happened. And Saylor's message is brutally simple. He isn't waiting for Bitcoin to become cheap. He isn't waiting for the crowd to agree. And apparently, he isn't planning to stop because the number on the screen gets bigger. He plans to keep converting weaker money into the harder money higher and higher and higher. Until eventually the question faced in the market may not be, who would buy Bitcoin at that price? It may be who the hell is left willing to sell it. And now you need to hear Saylor say it himself. Because when you hear the prices he names one after another, you'll realize he isn't describing a trade. He's describing a completely different way of valuing Bitcoin. Here's a clip of him discussing buying the top forever. Is there ever enough Bitcoin? Do you ever stop?
Michael Saylor (4:04)
No, I think our view is our job is to power up the network. So, you know, I say I'm buying the top forever. I'm happy to buy at $60,000. I'm happy to buy at $80,000. I'm happy to buy at $120,000. I will be happy to buy at $200,000, $500,000, $1,000,000, $2,000,000, $4,000,000, $8,000,000, $16,000,000. And people will make fun of me for doing it. But, you know, Bitcoin will be trading at $16,000,000 a coin and they can make fun of me all they want.
Justin Verrengia (4:29)
So he said it straight up. His job is to power up the network. So his investors and shareholders are going to continue to want more Bitcoin exposure. He's going to continue to buy it. He don't care if it's a million dollars per coin, $16,000,000 a coin. He don't care if you make fun of him. And hell, I don't think you'd mind either. You know, make fun of me all you want. I'm laughing all the way at the bank, banksters. And we don't need your fiat at the bank. Self custody, you know. KYC these nuts is all I'm saying. But yeah, Saylor ain't playing no games. And to doubt this man at this point, with the conviction he has had, he put his money where his mouth is. Back in 2020, he had to make a very important decision. He described his fiat as a melting ice cube. He was losing money due to the inflation. And he was at a crossroad. And his choice was purchase some gold with his cash reserves before it ends up melting to zero, or purchase some Bitcoin. And the rest is history. Obviously, he chose the latter, the first publicly traded company to put the Bitcoin on the balance sheet because he has big kahunas. That's conviction. And now there's roughly 200 public companies that have some form of Bitcoin exposure on the balance sheet, following in the Saylor Playbook.
