You still think Bitcoin is trying to enter the financial system? You've got it backwards, bruh. The financial system is being rebuilt around Bitcoin. And what just happened in America changes the game. Check this out. America spent years trying to bank Bitcoin out of existence. Now Bitcoin companies are coming for the banks? Take that, evildoers. The OCC just said firms operating in digital assets should have a path to become national banks. Inside a banking system controlling more than $25 trillion.
The war against Bitcoin did not kill Bitcoin. It changed the banking system. The OCC says entities engaged in legally permissible activities, including digital assets and other novel technologies, should have a path to becoming a national bank. And Comptroller Jonathan Gold made the message crystal clear. America and the OCC are once again open for business.
Think about how insane that reversal is. Bitcoin went from something the banks were warned about to something banks custody. Wall Street wrapped in ETFs, public companies put it on their balance sheets, and now digital asset businesses are being told there is a pathway into the national banking system. The scale of that system, more than 25 trillion right now in commercial banking assets. This does not mean 25 trillion is just effortlessly going to pour into Bitcoin overnight. It means Bitcoin is colliding with a financial system measured in the tens of trillions of dollars. And somebody saw this coming years ago, someone by the name of Michael Saylor, maybe have heard of him. Saylor has already told you exactly where he thinks this is going. His endgame for strategy become the world's largest Bitcoin bank and eventually the most valuable company on the planet. Strategy has built a Bitcoin reserve of more than 840,000 Bitcoin, and Saylor's vision goes way beyond simply stacking coins. Saylor has discussed issuing digital credit equal to 10-20% of strategy's Bitcoin reserves annually, while targeting a 30% annual return on those reserves. Saylor's destination potentially more than $5 trillion, large enough to compete for the title of the most valuable company on the planet. He's even pitched the possibility of Bitcoin-backed banking structures attracting $20-50 trillion in global capital. And America's commercial banking system already controls more than $25 trillion in assets. These stories are no longer happening on the opposite side to finance. They're colliding. Because America isn't moving alone. A Taiwan congressman just said there is a 100% chance the country will establish a strategic Bitcoin reserve, calling Bitcoin digitally transferable, verifiable and a matter of national security. Meanwhile, Switzerland's central bank just disclosed roughly $64 million in direct Bitcoin exposure through strategy. And US-bought Bitcoin test just pulled in roughly $850 million in the past week. Their strongest weekly performance since April. Different institutions, different countries, different vehicles, same asset. Bitcoin. They're all running into the same mathematical problem. $21 million. That's it. Banks can create credit. Corporations can issue shares. Governments can print currency. Wall Street can manufacture financial products, but none of them can manufacture another Bitcoin beyond the protocol's supply schedule. So imagine where this goes next. What happens when Bitcoin companies become banks? What happens when banks become Bitcoin companies? What happens when national banks start competing with ETFs, public companies, sovereign wealths and governments for the same scarce Bitcoin? That's when the $25 trillion number starts to matter. Not because it all flows into Bitcoin overnight. Keep in mind, it doesn't even have to. Even 1% of 25 trillion is $250 billion. 2% is $500 billion and a mere 5% is $1.25 trillion. Pretty much today's Bitcoin market cap. And Bitcoin's maximum supply still doesn't move one satoshi higher. For years, Bitcoiners were told Bitcoin needed Wall Street. Bitcoin needed the banks. Bitcoin needed Washington. Maybe they had it all backwards. The banks are discovering they need Bitcoin. And now Bitcoin companies are coming for the bank charters. This is where things get dangerous. Because once Bitcoin enters the machinery of banking, you're not talking about millions anymore. We're talking about trillions. So let's follow the money and see what happens when 25 trillion meets 21 million Bitcoin. And here's the big news so I can share it with you. This is breaking. It just happened. US regulator OCC approves Bitcoin and crypto firms to become national banks. As highlighted, America and the OCC are once again open for business. And you can see in the Comptroller of the Currency official press release here, OCC commends FDIC reform, advances priority to reinvigorate de novo chartering. So there you go. And I've heard Saylor speak about this in several interviews. His goal, like the end game, was for MSTR to become the world's largest Bitcoin bank. Now, also, we got to follow the money. Spot Bitcoin ETFs drew in over 850 million of net inflows over the last week, their strongest weekly performance since April. This renewed capital inflow points to a clear acceleration in institutional demand for Bitcoin exposure through regulated investment products. And naturally, I bet Bitcoin ETF is the largest out of all of them, which is Black Rocks. And there's new financial products being released all the time, including new Bitcoin ETFs.
