They told you AI could literally hack anything. So somebody finally called their bluff, and what happened next should terrify Bitcoin's enemies. Check this out. Someone just put 6 million in Bitcoin on the line and told the most powerful hackers and AI on earth, steal it, take the Bitcoin, crack the wallet, prove Bitcoin can be broken. The challenge has now been live for several days, and all 100 Bitcoin are still sitting exactly where they started, untouched. While everyone keeps warning us that AI has become powerful enough to hack anything, someone finally called their bluff and backed the challenge with 6 million in Bitcoin. It's the BitGo CEO, Mike Belshe, put 100 Bitcoin into the wallet, then publicly challenged Anthropix AI to come get it. His message was basically, enough with the we created a hacking monster games, let's do it for real. There's the Bitcoin, go ahead and take it. And so far, nothing.
Now, that doesn't mean poorly secured wallets can't be compromised. And it doesn't mean exchanges can't be hacked. Humans can't expose their seed phrases, obviously, or software can't contain vulnerabilities, like we recently saw with the coal card hack. But there's a massive difference between hacking something built around Bitcoin and hacking Bitcoin itself. And 100 untouched Bitcoin are making that distinction painfully clear. But here's where today's story gets even crazier. While one of the most powerful AI systems in the world is being challenged to crack Bitcoin security, Washington still can't figure out how to pass Bitcoin legislation. The US. Senate officially postponed the Clarity Act as of yesterday, at least the vote, until September, which means when they return from August recess. Russia already signed comprehensive digital asset legislation into law this week. America, oh, we're going on recess. We can't agree, can't talk. Sad, right? And Michael Saylor summed up the situation pretty perfectly, as I've been echoing all week. Bitcoin doesn't need clarity, America needs clarity. That's a fact. I'm glad Michael Saylor is repeating what I've been saying. That may be the most important sentence in today's show, because Bitcoin isn't sitting around waiting for Congress. The network doesn't shut down for August recess. The next block doesn't require bipartisan approval, thank the Lord. And Bitcoin's monetary policy doesn't change because Washington couldn't reach a deal. Bitcoin just keeps working. Meanwhile, Trump is now openly talking about seeing more people paying with Bitcoin. I'll play the clip a little later. Saying some people don't even know about cash anymore. They forgot about cash, so focus on the bitty. Think about how insane that statement would have sounded from a sitting US president a few years back. Bitcoin went from something Washington mocked to something the president of the United States is discussing as money people actually use. And while politicians debate the rules, Bitcoin keeps doing what it has always done, producing blocks, settling transactions, and waiting for absolutely nobody. China is now facing questions about whether holding hundreds of billions of dollars in gold while ignoring Bitcoin could eventually become a strategic mistake. Russia is writing laws and signing them into law. America is debating laws. AI is being dared to break Bitcoin. And through it all, the network keeps doing exactly what it was designed to do. That's the bigger story. Bitcoin doesn't need politicians to make it legitimate. It doesn't need anyone to declare it secure. And it doesn't need the market to feel confident before producing another block. Governments can delay, and they will. Politicians can debate. Hackers can try.
Bitcoin keeps working. And somewhere right now, there are 100 Bitcoin worth more than 6 million sitting behind a wallet, waiting for someone to prove otherwise. But so far, nobody has. The challenge is public. The Bitcoin is real. And the clock is still running. Let's look at exactly what the hackers are being challenged to break and why 6 million in Bitcoin hasn't moved. So it started right here. $1 trillion Anthropic CEO, who's the creator of the Claude AI, was just publicly challenged to hack a wallet, holding over 6 million worth of Bitcoin. The BitGo CEO put up 100 Bitcoin in the wallet and said, enough with the, we created a hacking monster games. Let's do it for real. Go ahead and get it. Days later, the Bitcoin obviously is still in touch as it's going to be impossible for any hackers, including any masterful AI algorithm, because when it's done properly with the proper entropy, it's impossible to touch. No one has hacked 256-bit encryption, just FYI. So yeah, AI cannot hack the strongest monetary network in the world. And this is the Anthropic CEO on the left, but let me show you the tweet from the BitGo CEO, Mike Belshe, he wrote here, either Anthropic is terrible at building sandboxes or excellent at marketing or both. Here's the wallet address, which was published. You can see it right here. And this goes for any of you watching. If you're a masterful hacker and you feel confident in breaking the encryption of Bitcoin, best of luck. Yeah, the truth is Anthropic, chat GBT, no hacking algorithm is capable of cracking Bitcoin. It never has been able to. The recent shenanigans which has been going on was with the coal card, but that wasn't due to a flaw in Bitcoin. It was due to a flaw in a firmware. It had a flawed code and some are speculating it was an inside job as that line of code, the error was integrated in 2021 and it's very sketchy backstory you can get into. We're not going to get into the weeds here, but the bigger picture is there was roughly 130 million worth of Bitcoin hacked within a few days due to a bug in a firmware update on this particular wallet right here, which is called the coal card by CoinKite. And if you haven't got the memo, if you're using one of these devices, any model from CoinKite, any model coal card, I would strongly encourage you to move your Bitcoin off it and into a secure wallet as soon as possible. I'm still a big fan of self-custody. I don't believe in centralization as far as storing your Bitcoin. But however, I do prefer to be safe than sorry. I'd recommend diversifying your Bitcoin assets amongst different wallets, different companies, different manufacturers instead of keeping it all on one device. So, I'll keep you up to date as I'm reviewing them.
