Hi, I'm Sue Becker from Bread Beckers. Welcome to Sue's Healthy Minutes. I'm so excited you've joined me today, and I hope this episode encourages you and allows you to find the answers you have been praying for for the health of you and your family.
Today on Sue's Healthy Minutes, I am enjoying some beautiful weather at our little cabin in Ella Jay, Georgia. But I want to share another It's the Bread Story that I'm going to read to you today through a series of emails. I received an email from a listener struggling with Lyme disease. She heard the testimony of Vicki Weir in episode 214 of Sue's Healthy Minutes, and she reached out to me. Communicating back and forth for several months through emails, she shared how Real Bread was helping in her Lyme disease recovery. I want to read the emails to you as I receive them from her. Her story is remarkable. So back in March of 2026, I received this email and request. She said, Thank you for all you do and your teaching. I believe God has guided you in many ways. This week's podcast is one of them. I'll add she's referring to episode 214 with Vicki. I also have co-infection of Lyme disease. Not sure what all with it, but I do know Bartonelli is one of them. We'll find out more on Monday at my second appointment. My Lyme specialist feels I need to be off gluten because from what I understand, there is a high level in my family history of celiac. And she says, if I continue, I could become celiac as well. I do not believe this, she says. Also, my cranial therapist said, those who go off grains get rid of Lyme faster. She says she understands milling. She did it many years ago. I do not think she totally gets it. She also told me if I hadn't been eating and doing things the medical way, I would be in a wheelchair. With this information, I have gone off grains. My inflammation is worse and I am more tired.
I have still been questioning this advice I had been given, and listening to your podcast with Mrs. Weir is convincing me I am wrong. I'm wondering if at all possible could you get me in contact with her? Would love to discuss this further. I totally understand if you decide not to as keeping things private. Again, thank you so much for everything. I have been following and milling since 2017
So I wrote to her back and I said, I'm so sorry that you're going through all of this, and equally sad that the anti-grain advice has infiltrated the medical and healthcare community. I will forward your email to Vicki and ask her to reach out to you. Please let me know if you don't hear from her and I'll try to reach out again.
So that was a few days later after I received her email, and that was in March of 2026
So on April 2nd, I get another email from this person. I did get to talk to Vicki for over an hour. It was a great conversation and she answered many of my questions. My bowels were like a powder the last week and a half, almost two weeks. Yesterday and today, I had a half a slice of real bread and it is starting to have formation.
I'm not telling my Lyme specialist that I am eating bread. Today, I met with my natural nurse and with my test, she thought I shouldn't have gluten. When we discussed my bowels and told her about the bread, her eyes lit up and said, oh, was in her voice. She wanted to know if I ever had bowel issues and I said yes before I started the bread. I would go two to three days without a bowel movement. As soon as I started the bread with freshly-milled flour, I was normal and again, her eyes lit up and wow.
My friend who works in their supplement room was going to start milling, then had her blood work done and she was told she shouldn't have gluten. I have been telling her she could. The other day after talking with Vicki and having a clearer view how to explain, she did a Google search and found a testimony and your name was mentioned. She goes, hmm, I need to rethink this. Then she googled freshly-milled flour and autoimmune, and then said the same more forcefully. Maybe she went to work and talked with the nurse. I don't know. Thank you so much for getting me in touch with Vicki. She even talked to my husband the next day about a product he is developing. So that was the back and forth for a couple of weeks.
