Everyone asks, when are you selling your Bitcoin? Wrong question. The real question is, who is dumb enough to sell you their Bitcoin? Let's get into it. The biggest financial mistake of your lifetime won't be failing to buy Bitcoin. It'll be believing someone else will sell you theirs, because today's Bitcoin market isn't running out of buyers, it's running out of willing sellers. And if that trend continues, everything changes. For years, Bitcoin critics have argued that the price only goes higher when a flood of new buyers enter the market. But I think they're missing the much bigger story which is unfolding right in front of us. The real catalyst isn't exploding demand, it's disappearing supply.
That's exactly what today's data confirms. According to Ark Invest, long-term Bitcoin holder supply reached a new all-time high of 14.85 million BTC at the end of the first quarter. That means more Bitcoin than ever before is sitting in the hands of investors who simply aren't interested in selling. These aren't day traders chasing the next candle. These are people who increasingly view Bitcoin as generational wealth, not a speculative trade. Then we look at El Salvador, Bitcoin country, day after day, week after week, they're still buying one Bitcoin every single day. They're not selling. They're quietly removing more Bitcoin from circulation while the rest of the world debates whether Bitcoin is dead for the thousandth time. Then there's Strategy. After accumulating 843,775 Bitcoin, Michael Saylor didn't announce another purchase for the first time in the past month. Bears immediately celebrated, assuming something had changed. I think they completely missed the point. Strategy did not change its thesis. Instead, the company strengthened its balance sheet, giving itself even more flexibility for the future. Whether they buy this week, next month or next quarter, doesn't change the bigger picture. Their strategy has never been about trading Bitcoin. It's about accumulating the hardest asset on earth for decades. Notice the pattern. Long-term holders aren't selling. El Salvador isn't selling. Strategy is still the largest net buyer of Bitcoin on the planet. One by one, the world's largest Bitcoin holders are acting as if their Bitcoin is worth more than any amount of fiat they could ever receive. That's a completely different mindset than what we saw during the previous market cycles. Bitcoin isn't just being accumulated. It's literally being locked away. And every Bitcoin that disappears into long term conviction is one less Bitcoin available for the rest of us. The next major move in Bitcoin won't happen because millions of people suddenly decide to buy. It'll happen because buyers finally realize there aren't enough willing sellers left. Markets don't need infinite demand to explode higher. They simply need demand to overwhelm available supply. That's exactly how every true supply shock works. The irony is that most people are still waiting for Bitcoin to become safe. Remember when Elon posted, Bitcoin is my safe word. They're waiting for another Wall Street upgrade, another government endorsement, another all time high, another confirmation that the risk is gone. By the time the crowd finally decides they want Bitcoin, they'll discover something today's strongest holders already understand. The real scarcity isn't Bitcoin. The real scarcity is finding someone willing to part with theirs. Because one day the question won't be, how much does Bitcoin cost? It'll be, who is still willing to sell? Now the question isn't what people are saying. The question is what the data is showing us. Let's have a look. Bitcoin long-term holder supply climbed to the all-time high of 14.85 million Bitcoin at the end of quarter one, according to Ark Invest. As you can see outlined here, the conviction of Bitcoiners continues to grow. And this is a great sign to show you that the smart money is accumulating, not selling. Typically, it's the retail who sells when there is a massive discount in the market, because retail rather have higher conviction and pay a premium. When Bitcoin recovers to all-time highs, back in price discovery, they're lined up to buy it. It's ironic. Whereas right now, you can buy two-for-one from the all-time high because we have a massive discount. Now, the smart money recognizes this, and that's why they continue to hodl and continue to stack that's like there's no tomorrow.
Today is pod episode 2410 I'm your host, JV. It's July 27th, 2026 Now, Saylor did give us an update today. We knew there was going to be something because he did post the strategy tracker as we covered yesterday. And here's what he wrote. Strategy has increased its US dollar reserve by 525 million, achieving 2.1 years of dividend coverage as of July 26, 2026 We hodl 843,775 Bitcoin in our Bitcoin reserve and 3.75 billion in our USD reserve, which is ultimately his fiat war chest. So yeah, another week has gone by without Saylor purchasing Bitcoin, which now means it's been a month. This may be the longest ever we have seen since he started, you know, going crazy buying Bitcoin back in 2020
