Everybody says they want to buy Bitcoin cheap. Very few people actually do it, because cheap Bitcoin doesn't feel bullish. It actually feels very uncomfortable. Check it out. Mike Tyson once said, everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.
Bitcoin investors have their own version. I'm waiting for a better entry. Then Bitcoin drops, and somehow they still don't buy it. That's because most people think they want lower prices, but what they actually want is higher prices with certainty. They say they want a correction, they say they want a crash, they say they want one last opportunity. Then the opportunity arrives, and suddenly, they need more confirmation, more headlines, more reassurance, more proof. The lower Bitcoin goes, the less comfortable they become buying it. This is exactly why the biggest opportunities never feel like opportunities when they're happening. But by then, the opportunity usually looks very different. That's what makes this correction so interesting. While many investors are still waiting for a better entry, the biggest Bitcoin buyers keep doing the exact opposite. Michael Saylor just announced that Strategy acquired 1,550 Bitcoin for roughly $101 million.
And just one week ago, Bitcoin critics were celebrating because Strategy sold 32 Bitcoin, but this week they bought 1,550. That's almost 50x more Bitcoin than they sold. That brings Strategy holdings today to 845,256 Bitcoin. Let that sink in. Nearly 850,000 Bitcoin. But the purchase itself wasn't the only headline. Strategy also increased its US dollar reserve by another $100 million.
The company now holds $1 billion in reserve capital. Think about what that means. They're not just buying Bitcoin. They're literally building a war chest, preparing for volatility, preparing for opportunity, and preparing to buy more Bitcoin. That's a very different mindset than the average investor. Most investors see a correction and ask, what if it goes lower? Strategy sees a correction and asks, how much more can we buy? And that difference changes everything. And if you think 845,256 Bitcoin sounds extreme, consider this. Saylor has openly discussed the future where strategy can own 2 million Bitcoin. Roughly 8% of the entire Bitcoin supply there will ever be. Think about what that means. The company isn't acting like the opportunity is over. They're acting like it's just beginning. And that's the part many people miss. The correction didn't create more Bitcoin. The fear didn't create more Bitcoin. And the panic didn't create more Bitcoin. It only changed who was willing to sell. And increasingly, those sellers are handing their Bitcoin to companies, funds, treasuries and long-term holders with much deeper pockets. That's why the real story isn't the correction. It's the transfer. The transfer from the weak hands to the strong hands. So here's the question. When Bitcoin finally turns around again, will today's sellers be glad they sold or wishing they have never sold at all?
Most people are focused on what Bitcoin did. Very few people are focused on who bought it. That distinction changes everything. Saylor just posted this morning, Strategy has acquired 1,550 Bitcoin for $101 million to increase our Bitcoin reserve to $845,256.
We have also increased our USD reserve by $100 million to now $1 billion.
And of course, this is what we've all been anticipating.
All week, as Saylor did post the infamous Strategy Tracker yesterday, and I did foresee this coming, if you watched yesterday's show, you know what I'm talking about. So yeah, last week, Saylor sold 32 Bitcoin. All the bears panicked. Everyone wrote off Bitcoin. It's dead. Strategy is going bankrupt.
They'll never survive. Meanwhile, they just purchased 48 times more than what they sold with this week's purchase, just like that. Now, Saylor also announced STRC and MSTR shareholders have approved the amendment to move STRC dividends from monthly to semi-monthly, which is ultimately bi-weekly. Under the new cadence, the first record date is June 30th, and the first payment date is July 15th. Thank you to every shareholder who voted. Now, ultimately, this means instead of having to wait every month to receive the dividend, you'll now receive it every other week. So it seems his priority is keeping shareholders happy and listening to them. And many shareholders are very happy with the results, receiving that 11.5% dividend, and now they'll receive it more frequently. And also, there's been a lot of speculation from the haters and the Peter Schiff's who have been flooding everything Saylor does religiously. That's why he was nominated Retard of the Day in yesterday's episode. Stay tuned for the end of today's show so you can see who today's nominee is. But ultimately, Saylor continues to build the war chest so he can satisfy his shareholders, continue to pay the dividends, and that sell off of 32 Bitcoin did not change the narrative. As long as he's a net buyer of Bitcoin, it's irrelevant if you sell one Bitcoin to buy 20 Or in this case, you know, sell 32 to buy over 1500, which is 48 times more than what you sold. That my friend is the bigger picture. So don't get it twisted.
