Let's get this party started.
Basically, today we're gonna do, I'll do like a smaller presentation as well about the importance of like minerals, and what's the role of them in our, you know, health and physiology. And in the end, we'll do like a Q&A as well. And yes, the main topic is gonna be about minerals because of we released The Mineral Fix with Dr. James. And yes, you can see, it's pretty awesome. It's a pretty big book and there's over like 700 pages of, you know, full pages, but you know, the actual content is maybe like over 500 pages and like 4,500 references. And yeah, it's pretty, both of James and I are really proud of it. And yeah, it's one of the, in my opinion, it's one of the like best books about minerals in general, because there's no like real, no real, let's say other book that actually goes into such detail about how these things work. But yeah, let me know, how's the audio, is it good? And then we can just start rolling with my a few slides that I kind of shared that I had prepared.
Greetings from France, sunny Southern California. Well, that's good. Looks like the most of the snow here is also melted away and it's like pretty sunny here. Actually went cycling today, which is, which I haven't done in like the past few months because of the winter, but it was good. North Dallas, Texas, San Francisco, Slovenia, Liverpool, Pennsylvania. Is the book exist in French? No, no, it's only in English. But you know, we are like working on some foreign rights as well, like we, but I don't know if it's gonna be translated into other languages. They're gonna be like sold in the other countries, but good audio, that's good. How old is Siim? I'm 26 at the moment. Florida, Germany, how old? 26, yeah. Chicago, yeah, nice. Well, it looks like it's working fine. And yeah, I'll do my presentation, which wouldn't take maybe any longer than like 15 or 20 minutes. And after that, we'll do like some Q&A. But yeah, if you wanna get The Mineral Fix, then yeah, it's gonna be on Amazon. So yeah, check it out. The Kindle version ebook is gonna be also available like in a few weeks. But if you wanna join the free giveaway of the book that I have, then check out my Instagram page as well. I have like one of the latest posts actually has a free giveaway for the book if you wanna join and have an opportunity to win that. All right.
So I'm gonna switch over to the presentation and yeah, if you can, all right. Boom. So I have to change it actually. It's the nutrients into that plant. So like a lot of the vegetables that you order, the minerals, the vitamins, minerals you get from any kind of a plant or a vegetable, you get it from kind of the soil. And yeah, if the soil is depleted from these nutrients, then the nutrient quality of those vegetables is also much smaller. And the same applies to like animals as well. Like there's a lot of, let's say, if the cow or even like fish is growing in like a low mineral environment, they're not eating nutrient dense grass and they're living in a very nutrient depleted sea or like they're in a farmed, let's say pond or farmed lake, the farmed fish, then those nutrients in that fish and animal is also much smaller. So that's why, you know, the minerals are kind of almost one of the keys to our just overall health and like nutrients. And yeah, the minerals themselves, there's a variety of those minerals, they govern also like these kind of key essential processes in the body, like insulin sensitivity, sleep, immunity, digestion, and inflammation, cognition, energy, bone formation, immunity as well. And basically every function has every function the body has like, you know, requirement for minerals. And there are like different kinds of essential minerals. In total, there's estimated to be like 17 essential minerals and five possibly essential minerals or trace minerals. And those are divided into seven macrominerals, which you probably have heard of like calcium, chloride, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium and sulfur. Those are the macrominerals. For example, magnesium is one of the kind of one of the most abundant and most important minerals in the body that is good for just regulating inflammation, stress and blood sugar regulation. Sodium itself is also like for electrolyte balance and stomach acid. Sulfur is one of the minerals that is actually kind of essential for like glutathione, antioxidant defenses and kind of governs the body's own, let's say, I don't know, like resilience, if that makes sense. Trace minerals are 10 of them, chromium, cobalt, copper, fluoride, iodine, iron, manganese, molybdenum, selenium and zinc. So those are the trace minerals.
