We are all sick because the soil. And then we start to ask the questions, what do you mean? Like, why we are all sick? And now we understand after these years that these are not sicknesses. This is due to lack of healthy food, which we don't get anymore from healthy soils.

And we are facing the problems.

Welcome to the Siim Land Podcast. My name is Siim Land. Today we talk with Aivis Vegers. Aivis works at a company called Black Stuff.

Black Stuff is probably one of the most unique nutrient supplements in the world, as it doesn't give you specific vitamins or minerals, but it's made of humic and fulvic acid.

Natural food grows on soils rich in organic matter that enhance the nutrient density of the food.

Unfortunately, soil erosion, pesticides and other modern agricultural practices are deteriorating that. Black Stuff fills the missing link by providing more fulvic and humic acid than any other food. Research about fulvic acid shows it lowers inflammation, boosts the body's antioxidant defense systems and scavenges free radicals. It's going to make the nutrients in your food more bioavailable and effective. Black Stuff also contains Chaga and Lignofenols, which also have other medicinal benefits. You can get a sweet discount of all Black Stuff products at blackstuff.ee with the code Siim. That's blackstuff.ee with the code Siim.

Hello, hi Siim.

Nice to have me. I think this is the first time when I'm on the podcast.

Siim Land (1:26)

Well, that's good to hear. And I think you're also the first Latvian person to be on the podcast.

good. Maybe let's start with how did you get interested in like health and how did you stumble upon Black Stuff?

Aivis Vegers (1:45)

I think the story goes similar to everybody that we never had intention to do any Black Stuff in the beginning. So I'm not the doctor and even for my team, we are not doctors either. We are either engineers or based physics and architects and finances and farmers. But the story was years ago, five years ago when we were trying to understand how the system works in agriculture and how to start to do the fertile land, how to restore the soil. And we were working on the biogas projects and returning organic mass to the soil. Because the whole problem is that the soil were depleted in all around the world. And then by sitting around the table, there comes the, like we say, like a flashlight came.

The professor who was with us, he's like, oh, you don't understand the whole thing. You are all sick because the soil. And then we start to ask the questions. What do you mean? Like we are all sick. Like, what's my sickness? I was not sick.

But to be concerned, that sickness, I had this valve, which is closing my from the stomach when the acid is floating up like reflux. So that was for me already not anymore like sickness. That because almost every fifth person has these kind of problems. So that was my new normal. And he said because of the food and the digestion and bad and soil, you have this problem. How come? Because I was already going for the operation just to put the little plastic valve in and to fix it. And so I never done it because I never need it anymore.

And everybody who was around the table, we had some kind of problem. Somebody had some problem with the skin or so. And now we understand after these years that these are not sicknesses. This is due to lack of healthy food, which we don't get anymore from healthy soils.

We are now lacking the health and we are facing the problems.

Siim Land (4:10)

It's so true that there has been this massive trend, this decline in the nutrient quality of our soils and as a result the food as well. So like approximately like there's maybe like 25 to 35 percent less of the minerals in our food because of the soil erosion and soil depletion and poor agricultural practices and fertilizers and pesticides, all those things.

They just don't regulate all these nutrients in the food and we need the nutrients and we need all these vitamins and minerals and if we don't get them then we develop these chronic deficiencies that have like a negative effect on our health. Why would that be like diabetes, inflammation, like this arthritis or that sort of thing. So it is very huge concern for the like the future of our entire civilization.

Aivis Vegers (4:58)

And you can go to like I said skin problems as well, psoriasis, neurodermatitis. They are not actual problems. It's just only metabolic syndrome is totally broken.
