The Joe Rogan Experience.

Josh Brolin (0:06)

Trained by day, Joe Rogan Podcast by night, all day. Little Bo Peep, she needed the money.

Joe Rogan (0:16)

Oh. Oh.

Josh Brolin (0:19)

Remember how great that was? Oh, yeah.

Joe Rogan (0:21)

When I first met him, it was like one of those weird things where, you know, I mean, you've met a lot of famous people. Some of them, you meet them, you're like, oh, fucking, really?

Josh Brolin (0:28)

Bummer.

Joe Rogan (0:29)

It's weird. Oh, there's bummer, too. Yeah. The bummer ones, that sucks. When you meet someone, they suck. You're like, oh, no, you suck. Some people just not talk. They should only do what they do, act and sing.

Josh Brolin (0:42)

But then you get to know them. Like, I don't know. Like, I'm pretty good at this now where you don't, where you see people that you, like, looked up to. Like Eddie Vedder, I had a pretty close relationship with.

Joe Rogan (0:52)

Oh, really?

Josh Brolin (0:53)

Yeah, but I was drinking, and then I would grab his balls and do shit like that. And then it was like, I don't want him around. I don't want Josh around.

Joe Rogan (1:03)

Yeah.

Josh Brolin (1:03)

I don't like that anymore. I don't want my, you know. And I think Sean Penn appreciated shit like that. Like, wow, somebody has the balls. It's not even a little chaos. It's like somebody has the balls to, like, call me on my shit. Like, not everybody's afraid of me.

Joe Rogan (1:18)

Oh, right. Yeah, he's probably used to people constantly being.

Josh Brolin (1:21)

Yeah, like, oh, I can't fuck with him.

Joe Rogan (1:23)

Right. Well, he does wild shit, like, when he went down to fucking Mexico and met with El Chapo, like, Jesus Christ, dude, that's a fucking wild, reckless thing to do.

Josh Brolin (1:32)

And I do think that that's organic, but I think that that's also you just have that thing where you just go, you know what, shit's getting boring.

Joe Rogan (1:40)

Right.

Josh Brolin (1:40)

The weather's just too fucking nice here.

Joe Rogan (1:42)

Weather's too nice. I'm too famous. Let's go meet a mobster. Yeah.

Josh Brolin (1:46)

Let's go fuck some shit up. Let's do something. Let's do something big.

Joe Rogan (1:50)

Let's do something really reckless.

Josh Brolin (1:51)

Let's do something that's going to resonate for at least a year.

Joe Rogan (1:53)

Yeah. That whole El Chapo thing was so crazy though because that kind of is one of the things that got him caught.

Josh Brolin (1:59)

It was, right?

Joe Rogan (2:00)

Yeah. Because they track your cell phone data. They know where you go. And if you're bringing your fucking cell phone, you're basically bringing a tracking device to go find one of the most notorious gangsters alive today.

Josh Brolin (2:12)

The most notorious. I mean, who was the guy with the football team back in the day?

Joe Rogan (2:18)

Pablo Escobar?

Josh Brolin (2:19)

Think about it. It's our days. This time is Pablo Escobar.

Joe Rogan (2:23)

Yeah.

Josh Brolin (2:24)

And Sean Penn.

Joe Rogan (2:26)

Clothes and hangs out with him.

Josh Brolin (2:27)

Who was supposed to be Spicoli. Because you know what, man? Hey, who wants to come with me and find this motherfucker? Did he go solo? I think so.

Joe Rogan (2:37)

I think he went solo. Well, he knew that lady who was like a reporter. You know, there was like this really hot Mexican reporter.

Josh Brolin (2:43)

Oh yeah, the Mexican girl. Yeah.

Joe Rogan (2:44)

Yeah. He knew her.

Josh Brolin (2:45)

Was he dating her?

Joe Rogan (2:47)

I don't know, but I think she had a thing with El Chapo.

Josh Brolin (2:51)

After that?

Joe Rogan (2:52)

No.

Josh Brolin (2:52)

Did Sean reintroduce them properly?

Joe Rogan (2:54)

I don't know. I think he knew her and she knew him. She knew El Chapo.

Josh Brolin (2:59)

Oh right. That's how he got, that was the connect.

Joe Rogan (3:00)

Yeah, and El Chapo was like, I like the meat. It's piccoli.

Josh Brolin (3:03)

Yeah, piccoli. I love you.

Joe Rogan (3:09)

Yeah, I really enjoyed you in colors. And then the next thing you know.

Josh Brolin (3:12)

What's the most dangerous thing that you do now? What do you think?

Joe Rogan (3:16)

Dangerous?

Josh Brolin (3:17)

Yeah. Like we're talking about Sean going out on a limb. Do you find it necessary to go out and do things that like challenge you in a way?
