Hello, everyone, and welcome back to What's The Sip, a podcast by friends for friends. Today, we've got a fun episode, a fun friend. My good friend Sam is here. Sam, say hey to the people.

**Sam Boelema** (0:14)
What's up?

**Josh Harmon** (0:16)
And yeah, we're going to chat some bucket list things. We're going to get to know who Sam is. But before we get into it, today's sipper of the week is Megan Now Sanders, formerly Philips, and she was recently married to Josh Sanders. And her sip has been Cheerwine. If you have not had Cheerwine, it's not wine.
It is a soda. It is like a Dr. Pepper, I think. Well, I've had it.

**Sam Boelema** (0:43)
Yes.

**Josh Harmon** (0:44)
It's like a cherry soda.

**Sam Boelema** (0:45)
It's ringing a bell now, actually.

**Josh Harmon** (0:46)
You've had it?

**Sam Boelema** (0:47)
I might have.

**Josh Harmon** (0:48)
Okay. A long time ago. Apparently, it's a Southern thing.
Well, I don't know. I may have made that up. I don't know.

**Sam Boelema** (0:54)
He's just spitting.

**Josh Harmon** (0:55)
I don't know. But Megan, she's a faithful listener. So, Megan, thanks for being a listener, and congrats on being Sipper of the Week.
And we're going to jump right into it. Sam, what do you have for our sip today?

**Sam Boelema** (1:09)
All right.

**Josh Harmon** (1:10)
Tell us what we got here.

**Sam Boelema** (1:12)
Right here is maybe one of the greatest inventions of all time. This is the McDonald's mocha frappe.

**Josh Harmon** (1:19)
Oh, yeah.

**Sam Boelema** (1:20)
You might know frappe more from Starbucks, but I don't know. McDonald's, it just hits different.

**Josh Harmon** (1:25)
They may have done it first. Actually, I don't know.

**Sam Boelema** (1:27)
Yeah. We should look into frappe, the history of frappe, because that would be interesting.

**Josh Harmon** (1:32)
I couldn't tell you the last time I had one of these.

**Sam Boelema** (1:34)
You've never had one?

**Josh Harmon** (1:35)
No, the last time. I couldn't tell you the last time.

**Sam Boelema** (1:37)
Good. Dude, it hits, doesn't it? Good. This genuinely is.
I have a note on my phone of like top 10 foods. This might be in the top three.

**Josh Harmon** (1:48)
Oh, my gosh.

**Sam Boelema** (1:49)
This might be in the top three, and I know it's not, maybe not really a food, but it's, it's so good.

**Josh Harmon** (1:53)
Sorry, I got a little melty in my car, but.
But it's good. It's a little melty, but.

**Sam Boelema** (2:00)
Yup.

**Josh Harmon** (2:01)
It's doing what it needs to do.

**Sam Boelema** (2:03)
It's doing the job. It's doing the job. I've learned too that they, maybe this is just McDonald's in general, but it's pretty spotty.
Like when the mocha frappe hits or when it doesn't, I had one like maybe a couple of months ago. It was so icy.

**Josh Harmon** (2:20)
Oh, just they just ice chunks everywhere. Okay. I was like, do you go to the McDonald's now on, what is it Fulton right there? By your house. Is that by your house?
Kinda.

**Sam Boelema** (2:35)
Honestly, don't really go to McDonald's that often.

**Josh Harmon** (2:37)
Okay. So when are you getting this?

**Sam Boelema** (2:40)
Maybe once a month. Okay. Maybe, maybe. It's like a very, very special treat.
Cause.

**Josh Harmon** (2:50)
Well, this is a special treat.

**Sam Boelema** (2:51)
They're not that cheap anymore either.

**Josh Harmon** (2:53)
But, okay, I got this and I said, I think the picture on the menu looks as a little deceiving cause I said, can I get a medium Frappuccino? And I think it's going to be like the size of your Walla or like, that's a large soda.

**Sam Boelema** (3:06)
Right.

**Josh Harmon** (3:06)
And I'm like, okay, I thought it was going to be just below that. And I'm like, no, brother, I'm getting nothing in this.

**Sam Boelema** (3:12)
That's the other thing is a skimp. I'm like, what is this, a small?

**Josh Harmon** (3:15)
No, this is a medium. I'm like, this small has got to be nothing in a cup.

**Sam Boelema** (3:20)
So that's why they're such a treat.

**Josh Harmon** (3:23)
Yeah, it is a treat. What are like some of your go-to more everyday like sips? Are you a coffee drinker? Are you, are you do good at drinking water?

**Sam Boelema** (3:34)
I would say I do okay at drinking water. I usually, the way I do it, I gotta have coffee in the morning. I don't necessarily have to have it. I more so just like it. Oh, okay. I feel like I'm one of those people who like doesn't need it. Like honestly, when I don't have it, it doesn't really give me a headache or anything.
