All right, there's this amazing book called Getting Everything You Can Out of All You've Got. I read it a few years ago and it changed my life.
And the reason I loved it was because it basically talks about how to get and make more money using things that you already have.
Coincidentally, today's podcast is brought to you by Business Made Simple. It's a podcast by Donald Miller, who I'm gonna tell you about in a second, but he has this amazing episode that's all related to this book and the things that I learned in this book. It's called How to Make Money With What You Already Have. It's an incredible episode. Talks about all the stuff that I learned in this book. The host is Donald Miller. I didn't know who Donald Miller was up until recently, but over the last 12 months, this is totally by coincidence. It was all separate people. They said, you have to check out Donald Miller. He's amazing. So I'm happy that he's part of HubSpot's Podcast Network. You can check it out, Business Made Simple Podcast. It's where he coaches you on how to build your business like an airplane, where the cockpit is your leadership, the body is your overhead, the right engine is your marketing, the left engine is your sales.
You have to check it out. This guy's amazing. It's called Business Made Simple with Donald Miller.
If you could get into a top 20 university and you have to go into a ton of debt, it is 100% worth it. And if that's the case, it ain't broken. I think it's doing great.

By the way, when you're listening to this, it's all going to sound smooth, but we've just recorded this like three times because remote work still sucks a little bit.
But we have Bri here. Bri Kimmel is an investor in mostly, I think, work-related products. So maybe you could tell us why it's so hard. All right, let me just read three things off your little bio thing here that I think are interesting. So solo capitalist, so you raised your own fund by yourself after never having worked in VC before that. Is that correct?
**Brianne Kimmel** (1:58)
That's correct.
**Shaan Patel** (1:59)
Okay, great. Another one, according to this, you have invested in seven unicorns already, which is kind of nutty. What are the seven?
**Brianne Kimmel** (2:07)
Yeah, so started work life about a year and a half ago, invested in Hopin, Webflow, which was an angel investment from when I was at Zendesk, Pipe, Public, a bunch of interesting companies and sort of future workspace.
**Shaan Patel** (2:23)
Okay, wow, that's pretty impressive.
Okay, and then another one that's on here that I think is kind of interesting that I think we should just jump in on. I don't know, Sam, where do you want to start? You want to start with this? I want to start with this Anthony Bourdain story, but.
**Sam Parr** (2:36)
That's mine. I want to start with that.
**Shaan Patel** (2:37)
That's yours.
**Sam Parr** (2:39)
That's mine. Bri, do you know what this podcast is about?
**Brianne Kimmel** (2:43)
I do know what this podcast is about. I've actually listened to many episodes. I'm a big fan.
**Sam Parr** (2:47)
Great, so we don't need to explain much to you. So Bri, go ahead and plug your new podcast.
You have coming out, what's it called?
**Brianne Kimmel** (2:55)
Oh, we're coming in hot. We're plugging the podcast already. I thought that was gonna come in later.
**Shaan Patel** (2:59)
No, no, we do it now and then people are like, I'm not gonna click it and then at the end they'll do it.
**Brianne Kimmel** (3:05)
Yeah, so we're the first podcast after this one to be part of the HubSpot Podcast Network. So myself and my best friend, Alexis Gay, she's a standup comedian.
She makes a lot of tech parody videos. We decided to start a business podcast with the fine folks over at HubSpot who have been awesome. They've given us a team. We've interviewed interesting people. It's been cool for me because, as you mentioned, I mostly do software investing and we're actually interviewing a lot of direct consumer founders and people that I've never met before.
And so we have this new podcast coming out called The Shake Up where we interview business leaders about very specific decisions that they've made that have changed the trajectory of their company.
**Sam Parr** (3:46)
So I'll be listening.
**Shaan Patel** (3:50)
Hang on, is the vibe like comedy because she's a comedian? Like, is this Call Her Daddy? Or is this like, you know, how I built this? Or what is this?
