Was there one last bout of magic at a certain point? Like, you kind of work your way up the food chain, and I feel like reality came today.

You know, fun story lines coming in. You know, if every match tells a story, sometimes they're textured novels, and other times they're quick short stories. This was honestly, I mean, you gave a very detailed breakdown. It just didn't come. I mean, just one player outclassed the other. Some of this is probably a player not used to this phase of a tournament, maybe running out of steam, but just very, just superior, literally in every single dimension.

Like, where was Ferry going to make gains against someone who is happy in long rallies, who can serve 140? And like his average second service speed is five miles an hour slower than your first average first service speed.
Like, I just don't know where Ferry was going to make gains. I kind of talked about that last night. Listen, props to Zverev because, you know, he earned this matchup by beating, you know, Lahechka and then Fritz, which has been a brutal matchup for him, even though Fritz was maybe a little bit compromised. But listen, pros and the top players, they handle situations, they put their heads down, they go to work. The best in the world are capable of making a match boring because of their pattern dominance, right? Like, I don't know, like, I fairy is fantastic. I couldn't have been more impressed. And also, you know, I found myself the desk asking before the third set, what adjustments can actually be made here? Is he going to all of a sudden take risk on serve? I don't know that he has 140 in his, in his arm. Is he just going to start wildly coming in? That's not going to work. He tried to force balls line. He tried to mix up his return position. We've really only seen him in one return position. So he went back. Zverev went to forehand. He kind of laid it up and didn't have one that could actually stick it off that pace. So at a certain point, I don't know that there was a solution to be had. I don't think it was just about execution.

I mean, I think there's a reason one player is number two in the world and is coming off a major and is now on 13 straight matches at majors. There's another, I mean, Arthur Ferry had a great event, but this was a bit of an ally. Or let's see if he can build on it. I mean, I just got the feeling it wasn't even about court positioning at one point. I mean, just Zverev hits with more precision, he hits harder. Remember when Zverev used to have like a 40 mile an hour differential between first and second serve?
