Hey everyone, welcome to Served, brought to you by ServiceNow. It's a little weird doing a show when we're not rolling.
It's nothing shaking in a car.
Mike Hayden (1:33)
Nothing's rattling.
Andy Roddick (1:34)
That's it. JW is in the house.
Jon Wertheim (1:37)
See you guys, not in the back seat.
Andy Roddick (1:39)
We're going to do the US Open recap show right now, back in the studio on solid footing. JW, I saw you for about four minutes during the US Open. We were like ships passing in the night.
Jon Wertheim (1:49)
We're ships passing in the tunnel. Good to see you. I'm Jon, Andy. Nice to meet you, Mike.
I know. It's the weirdest thing. This is what happens when you have a 20, we can talk about it. This is what happens when you have like 19 hours of tennis every day. I was on the morning shift with, you know, Jim Lindsay and precautioned you guys were going home when I was arriving. Nice to see you guys did a great job.
Mike Hayden (2:12)
Thank you.
Andy Roddick (2:13)
You did a good job, Mike.
Mike Hayden (2:13)
Yeah.
Andy Roddick (2:14)
Techie Sean.
Mike Hayden (2:14)
It was good. Techie Sean did a great job.
SPEAKER_1 (2:16)
MVP.
Andy Roddick (2:17)
How easy is it doing a show from a studio? This is incredible.
SPEAKER_1 (2:20)
Yeah.
Andy Roddick (2:21)
I'm not squeezed into the third row with a desk.
Mike Hayden (2:25)
I mean, the fact that it could even happen was in the Cadillac Escalate IQ, the official.
Andy Roddick (2:32)
There were a couple. The only thing, the only thing that was a hazard was we, if we hit like a big ass pothole, Sean would go, stop, stop, stop.
Mike Hayden (2:43)
The audio, the audio device, batteries kept getting low, smoked a couple of times, but you couldn't even tell. Couldn't even tell.
Andy Roddick (2:49)
No, couldn't even tell. So I'm going to be honest here.
Covered a lot of stuff. I'm woefully unprepared for this show.
Mike Hayden (3:00)
It's been, it's been a, it's been a solid 12 hours since we touched back down in Charlotte.
Andy Roddick (3:05)
And I tell you this producer, Mike Hayden was at school, opening doors, volunteer carpool this morning.
Mike Hayden (3:13)
Yeah.
Andy Roddick (3:14)
Hit the ground hot.
Mike Hayden (3:15)
7 a.m. smiling and helping kids get out of cars.
Jon Wertheim (3:20)
This is like a Ben Shelton going to Davis Cup in, in Prague after getting to a US. Open final. This is the equivalent.
Mike Hayden (3:27)
My, I've had as physically of a taxing time as Ben Shelton. You're correct.
Andy Roddick (3:32)
Yeah.
Mike Hayden (3:33)
Not.
Andy Roddick (3:33)
And that's not where the similarities end.
Mike Hayden (3:35)
I don't know.
Andy Roddick (3:35)
It's not.
Mike Hayden (3:36)
You should see my biceps.
Andy Roddick (3:37)
Yeah. All right. What are we doing?
You know what?
Mike Hayden (3:42)
I mean, let's, let's start off with the obvious, right? You have Zverev and Rybakina taking home the slams. And one of the, one of the things that we have in today's episode, we were going to talk about an Iconic Arrival presented by Cadillac, the official vehicle, the US. Open. Originally, it was going to be us talking about who came onto the stage and really wowed us, came kind of out of nowhere. But I think when we were talking about the Iconic Arrival now, is these two slam winners have pretty much cemented themselves as future Hall of Famers.
