Amazon Health AI presents Painful Thoughts. I, um, I can't stop scratching my downtown. Mm-hmm, yeah, but I'm not itching to go downtown and tell a receptionist I'm here to talk about my downtown.
Some things you'd rather type than say out loud.

There's no question too embarrassing for Amazon Health AI.

The Bill Simmons Podcast is brought to you by The Ringer Podcast Network. I put up a new rewatchable on Monday. We did Karate Kid Part 2 Is it Karate Kid 2 or Karate Kid Part 2? I can't even remember. Me and Kyle Brandt had a fantastic time. As I said before, we really had to do this just to pave the way for Karate Kid 3, so you can check that out. We have a lot of good movies coming up for the rest of this month, and I think we're doing two episodes next week.
It's looking like The Italian Job and About Last Night, the Rob Lowe, Demi Moore, About Last Night. So that's on Netflix. Italian Job is on every streamer, so you can go check those out, but I think those are going to be the next two, and they both can be next week. We have an absolutely loaded podcast coming up for you. I wanted to do Quarterbacks with Mina Kimes. I meant to do it last week, but we're doing it this week. I wanted to go through all my QB point system and a lot of good quarterback questions tying into the 2026 NFL season. So this is like the first real summer pod. We're moving into NFL mode. I'm in week four of prep, feeling good.
After that, Billy Gil, Anthony Dabbundo, we wanted to talk about the baseball trade deadline and one of the weirdest pennant races ever. Even my dog's barking about it in both leagues. And all the ramifications of that. I've announced the soccer team. I announced my soccer team on that. We talked about a whole bunch of goofy stuff. And then last but not least, David Shoemaker has a new book out about Hulk Hogan that you should get. But we talked about Summer Slam last weekend and the new Hulk Hogan book and how we're feeling about how weird the Hulksters last 20 years were and why he wrote the book. So that is all next. We're going to take a break, Pearl Jam. And then Mina Kimes.
This episode is brought to you by SAP. Hello, mid-sized business. We see your big ambitions, but how do you achieve the wins you want when your technology is holding you back? All right, our friend Mina Kimes is here. She's done a lot of Ringer stuff lately. She was on the Hitchery Watchables. She was on the Fantasy Football Show as they finished their rankings of the Hot QBs. I guess Jalen Hurts just ran away with this. Wasn't even close.

**Mina Kimes** (3:36)
Well, spoiler alert, because some folks might not have listened to it. Although I feel like at this point, anyone other than Hurts would have been a big upset.
He has the crown, he has Jimmy G's crown. It was easy, it was not controversial. There was really no debate about it. Kind of like Patrick Mahomes circa 2020, we were all just like, yeah, so that's fine. But number two was divisive.

**Bill Simmons** (3:57)
Contentious? Who was number two? Who won?

**Mina Kimes** (4:00)
Okay, I guess I'll, spoiler alert, don't get mad if you haven't listened to it. Josh Allen over Joe Burrow.
I was surprised.

**Bill Simmons** (4:08)
Interesting. I'll have to listen to it. I'm sure I'll have thoughts at some point. This is a great topic though, because one of my theories with quarterbacks, which we're about to talk to, talk about, quarterbacks, charisma. A lot of times they're handsome. They're just the coolest guy in the room, and it feels like part of the job.
I try to rank the quarterbacks every year, which we're going to go through, and I ask you to go through this with me, because I have this weird point system that I rank the teams with. And in the point system, quarterbacks go from one point to nine. It's the only position that's even over five, because they're that important. But I had some, before we go through the rankings, I had some quarterback questions for you. In no particular order.
