I have always thought that sweet and salty is one of those combinations that just makes sense, like something that can be perfectly good on its own, but add just a little salt to something sweet, and suddenly it's 10 times better. So I was very excited when Kachava came out with their new flavor, salted caramel. Caramel is already good, but that little bit of salt just makes the whole thing work. And what I love about Kachava is that it's not just something that tastes good. Two scoops give you plant-based protein, fiber, greens, and so much more in one really simple shake. It's an easy way to help fill some of those nutritional gaps, especially on days when you're busy and just need something quick. And there aren't any artificial flavors, colors, or sweeteners. It's just clean nutrition that actually tastes delicious. Embrace your salty side. Go to kachava.com and use code 1000Hours for 15% off your first order. That's kachava, spelled kachava.com, code 1000Hours.

Here is something I think a lot of parents today probably don't pay much attention to.

Is your child sleeping with their mouth open? We spend so much time thinking about what helps our kids sleep, getting enough movement, spending time outside, winding down at night, but how they're breathing while they sleep matters too.

Persistent mouth breathing can be associated with restless sleep, dry mouth, moodiness, oral health concerns, and even development. Muzzle Kids Tape is a really simple tool designed to gently encourage lip closure and support nasal breathing while kids sleep. What makes Muzzle different is their patented Breathe Safe Center opening. It doesn't completely seal the mouth, which makes it feel much more approachable as a parent. And Muzzle makes adult options too, for anyone dealing with nighttime mouth breathing or waking up with a dry mouth. Go to muzzlesleep.com and use code 1000HOURS for 10% off. That's muzzlesleep.com, promo code 1000HOURS.

I'm the founder of 1000Hours. I don't even know what I normally say. I always say the same thing, and I just forgot it. Anyway, I am so excited to be talking to Stasi Eldredge today. She has a brand new book out called The Ladder of Love. I read it twice because I read it once through, and then I read it to take notes. And I loved it even more the second time through. Normally, I'm just kind of like ho-humming it. But I was like, oh, this book is so meaningful to me. Stasi, welcome to you.

Thank you, Ginny. Thanks for that. I'm so glad that that was your experience. And I'm so happy to be with you today. Thank you for having me.

Yes, you are a New York Times bestselling author. What an incredible accomplishment. You've encouraged millions of women through the years, and you have your own podcast as well. Could you talk about becoming a woman of influence like that before we kick it off? I know you've got three grown sons. You talk in this book about how everyone's coming over for dinner. And most of the time, it's great. But every once in a while, you're like, oh my goodness, because everyone's got food preferences these days. So you're like, okay, what's in coconut-free, gluten, dairy, this one's vegetarian. But at some point along the way you have, along with raising these boys, you have become this woman who's influencing so many. What was that path like?

Stasi Eldredge (3:16)

I think like everyone that is listening, you don't know the impact of your life in the moment. You just don't. And the impact that you are having is immeasurable. Of course, first in your family and in your home, the changing of those lives and the impact that just ripples out through eternity. But people are always watching. You don't know how they're watching, whether that's at the grocery store or watching how you drive or watching how you parent, how you respond, watching your marriage, watching your friendship. They're watching. So I kind of think, actually I know, that everyone is a person of influence and it's just, it's happening. And we never can measure it. To this day, like I'll read stats, I go, oh wow, but I don't see it, I don't get it. So for me, the journey is one of just day by day, personal growth, kind of keeping a thread of what I love to do throughout those years, where my life was primarily hidden, just hidden in the home and you can start feeling like you're missed and everybody else's trains left the station and you're still there, but it's just not true. And I love, I get to chance to speak and to teach around, but the first time I did was I was invited to give a little five minute devotional at a baby shower.
