You know how every friend group has that one person who somehow ends up planning the trips? They're finding the hotel, figuring out what's actually worth doing, sending everybody links, and maybe you're thinking, wait, that's me, I do this all the time. Why am I not getting paid for it? That is basically the idea behind Fora. Fora is a modern travel agency that gives you the tools and training to actually build your own travel business. You can earn commission booking hotels, cruises and experiences, whether you start with your own travel or just helping friends and family with theirs. And what I think is really cool is that you're not just booking things. Fora has relationships with more than 7,000 preferred travel partners, so you can often give your clients things like upgrades, resort credits and a late checkout. So if travel planning is already something you love doing, this might be worth checking out. Become a Fora advisor today at foratravel.com/1000hours.

That's F-O-R-A, travel.com/1000hours. And make sure you tell them that we send to you. foratravel.com/1000hours.

You know, there are so many little things we do as parents to help our kids sleep well. We get them outside, keep them moving, try to limit screens at night. But one thing I hadn't thought much about was how they're actually breathing while they sleep.

A lot of parents don't realize their kids may be sleeping with their mouths open. And persistent mouth breathing can be associated with restless sleep, dry mouth, moodiness, oral health concerns, and even development.

That is where Muzzle Kids Tape comes in.

It is a simple bedtime tool designed to greatly encourage lip closure and support nasal breathing. And what I really like as a mom is their patented Breathe Safe Center Opening. It doesn't completely seal the mouth, so there's still room to talk, cough, sneeze, or drink water if needed. They make Muzzle for adults too, so it can be a simple nighttime habit for the whole family. Go to muzzlesleep.com and use code 1000HOURS for 10% off. That's muzzlesleep.com, promo code 1000HOURS.

Hey, friends, welcome back to the 1000 Hours Outside Podcast. I am Ginny Yurich, and you are going to love this one. Today our guest is professional climber, Emily Harrington, and her brand new documentary Girl Climber comes out today on Netflix. I got to watch it ahead of time, and wow, is it fascinating. Emily became the first woman to free climb the Golden Gate route on El Capitan in under 24 hours. Before watching this, I had so many questions about how something like that actually works. How do you practice when the part you need to practice is 2000 feet up a rock wall? What happens when you fall? How do the camera crews get up there? How do you climb in the dark? What in the world are you holding on to when it looks like there is nothing to hold on to? We get into all of that. But what surprised me about Girl Climber is that it's not just a climbing story. It's about failing and falling and trying again, figuring out why you're chasing a big goal in the first place, learning to do things your own way. Motherhood, friendship, fear, and what happens when proving other people wrong isn't a good enough reason anymore.

Before we jump in, take a second and hit follow wherever you're listening. We have an incredible stretch of conversations coming, and I don't want you to miss them. In the coming weeks, we're talking about what actually makes someone popular. We're talking about people who vanish in the wilderness and are never found. We're talking about what John Gordon has learned about mindset and leadership, and what some families do to raise multiple, extraordinary, successful kids. Following the show ensures you don't miss out. Okay, this one is so much fun. Here is Emily Harrington.

Welcome to The 1000 Hours Outside Podcast. My name is Ginny Yurich. I'm the founder of 1000 Hours Outside, and this is incredible. I get a chance to interview Emily Harrington. Yes, are you calling it a documentary?

Emily Harrington (4:17)

Yeah, it's a documentary.

Ginny Yurich (4:18)

It comes out today called Girl Climber, and you are a national champion. You have done incredible things since childhood. Thanks for being here.

Emily Harrington (4:29)

Thank you for having me. I'm stoked.

Ginny Yurich (4:32)

So I didn't know a ton about climbing before I watched your documentary. I always had some questions in the back of my mind, so I'm kicking it off with some overarching questions, and then I've got a lot of questions because I was able to watch the documentary ahead of time. But you climb this, I hope by the way I say it right, El Capitan.
